Is the Tobacco more along the lines of tobacco LEAF, or plain ol' cigarette tobacco?

i would say leaf,but it gives a nice warm scent base.nicely blended.not sharp like stirling gentleman out of the bottle.though i like that as well.

Interesting you bring up Stoylin Gentleman...I found I couldn't deal with the sharp tobacco scent, and decided to flip it. That was the first time I decided sharp tobacco isn't for me. I could accept Leaf. With the new soap I purchaaed from Mama Bear, you get a sharp tobacco, but also black tea is blended in. I have yet to try it, but I've given it a few s sniffs. As you may have seen me say, the fact that it smells like "18th Century Gentleman's Clubs" attracted me, and I'm sure it gives off a nice shave, but I'll have to hope the Black Tea overtakes the Tobaco.

The TSD Iced Lemongrass Shaving Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #432. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Demaskeene OC Razor with a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wintergreen scented icicles in my face this morning - Rod brought back the Glacial Wintergreen stuff this year and I’m going to stock up on it because it’s really a top favourite of mine. The soap is magnificent - it’s got a wonderful beef tallow formula so not only do you get amazing lather, there’s so much slickness to it, the menthol sensation is so intense, and the skincare is perfect. The matching balm and witch hazel have that same lovely scent as well as that same bone chilling freeze. Three passes left me ultra BBS - another brilliant shave that was so enjoyable despite my tearing eyes!

Another Menthol Monday for me, mainly in the fom of a Stoylin Glacial soap(Electric Sheep). Not a good shave, but I've done worse. 0:30 to set up the Stoylin Pro -Handle brush, and I think I should have given more time to it. Had I done so, I'm sure it would have prevented the 4 Knicks I got at various places on Porcupine Alley. I'd say most of the 4 came during the second pass, which was drier than the first. Everywhere else was a success,. Well, Cactus Nation should have been better around the Ingrown Swamp on the NW side.Just opened up the aftershave(Clubman Gent's Gin)and its first go was pretty good. PrettyExcellent for this one.

Noted in another post that my smeller is still messed up from my bout with Covid 19. Some of the soap/cream/aftershave scents are very off putting for me so I decided to finally use my very vintage Seaforth cuz it's lost most of its original scent and is easy on my senses right now. And, WOW, that stuff lathered right up into a wonderful creamy protective lather that worked very well indeed. Think I'm going to use it for awhile cuz it meets all my needs at this point. Anyway, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Razor : Gem Featherweight Generation 1( original low profile top cap)- Mfg 1950-52,Generation 2 1953-54, (higher profile milder top cap installed) Excellent tame mid range, great handling, 1OZ, I really enjoyed my shave this morning with this excellent razor.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap :Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore, nice vanilla scent with light tobacco scent with excellent lather qualities, I like the scent of the soap more than the Aftershave.
Brush : Yaqi Moka 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem Featherweight + a coated Gem blade.
