Today was another exceptional shave. My new Micromatic open comb was pleasant for 3 passes.

Took quick shower but, will need another before bed after the heat today. Cool shower was nice!

Razor - Micromatic Open Comb with a GEM Personna SS blade (4th use)
Pre-shave - TOBS Herbal Gel
Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush - Simpson Trafalgar T2
After shave - Thayers Toner & dab of Proraso balm and splash of AS

I tried the Scupper today and I really like how it works. It retains heat better than just pre-heating my ceramic bowl. Easy to hold onto as well. I think I will save this for winter shaves but, I hadta try it out!

I had a very nice 3-pass shave WTG, XTG, ATG for a smooth face. No cuts, nicks, or errors. Alum bar raised no feedback.
A most pleasant shave!

 

I have my Star 1912 loaded and ready for tomorrow's shave. It is one of my best, most pleasant shavers!

I decided to get me some menthol shave soap! I am waiting til it gets a bit hotter today to shower and shave. Not going out today and plan on simply relaxing. The Star 1912 razor is set up and ready with 5th use of the GEM Personna SS blade. Blue Proraso pre-shave is coooling to the face as well. The combo should be very nice!

My cat took over my sink! LOL

It’s going to be something like 33 Celsius (92 Fahrenheit) so I decided to go all out with the menthol and it felt like Paradise. The mentholated pre shave soap from Stirling has such a nice cooling effect in addition to the moisturizing, slickness, and beard stubble softening, Fernando’s Frosted Lavender soap is a menthol atom bomb which is easily a match for any of the Stirling Glacial soaps, the scent is so beautiful, the tallow formula gives this soap magnificent lather with such slickness, and the skincare is perfect. The Thayer’s Lavender witch hazel is almost unscented but it’s so soothing, and the Frosted Lavender aftershave has the same gorgeous scent as the soap, it’s also witch hazel based, and the menthol sensation is killer cold. Three passes gave me such a brilliant BBS shave!

The Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #432. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Demaskeene OC Razor with a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Avon Leather Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Emotional and personal shave today. This razor belonged to my mom’s dad so she would have seen him using it when she was growing up. She passed quickly and peacefully yesterday and in good spirits so this shave was for her.

Razor : Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021>, Excellent tame mid range, interesting simple design for clamping a blade, small head parts so I assemble under wash cloth. One of the best shaves I get consistently from this razor. Affordable also.
Blade : Schick Proline p30(3) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX, nice fresh scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Ferrari 24mm boar bristle, Excellent lather generator, heavenly soft split end bristle hair, nice scrubber + excellent painter. Nicely broke boar brush.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur 50mm with a Schick proline p30 50mm blade.
