    DE SOTD, Tuesday, July 27 2022

    Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation SS316 Lupo.72- Mfg 2021> excellent mid range, excellent clamping of blade, nice design with the rounded corners of head concaved for easy use under the nose, scalloped safety bar + a joy to use roaming the face with a GSB blade. No blade tab overhang + it has become one of my favorite DE razors + used the most of my large collection- rotation of razors.
    Blade : Gillette sliver blue (2) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity.
    Soap : Razorock XXX (mentholated mild[​IMG] ), nice fresh scent like the regular XXX(when dried down) but more invigorating feel with the menthol addition + excellent lather qualities.
    Brush : Razorock Plissoft 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent lather painter.
    Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
    Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
    Post shave : Razorock XXX (mentholated mild[​IMG]) + (keeps RR XXX scent when dried down[​IMG]) with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
    Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[​IMG] Excellent shave with my RR stainless steel Lupo.72 + a GSB blade.

    If it's the right musicians, I don't need much coaxing. LOL These 2 guys really like playing with me. I am basic rhythm but these 2 can play the breaks. One is banjo and the other a fellow guitarist who I have learned a few things musically from. He knows theory and is a good teacher. He is mid 70's in age. He had me finger-pick Doc Watson's "Deep River Blues" while he sang it and played rhythm. I needed the practice with my finger-picking. :)

    Of course Doc plays it much better than I do

    Shaving recipe for today.

    Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
    Cold wet flannel to my face.
    Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Anbbas 24mm Tuxedo synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
    Bowl : Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: LEA Classic Sensitive Shaving Cream.
    Blade: Schick Japanese Twin. (D7)
    Razor: Schick I1 Injector. 1955-58

    Post:
    Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Floid Mentolado Vigoroso ASL./Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

    Greetings,

    An enjoyable fantastic shave to finish my shaving week off in style.

    Second use of the Lea Classic Cream since it was kindly gifted to me providing a wonderful slick protective lather with no drying out issues.

    The sandalwood scent is different comparing it to the Proraso sandalwood scent it's more of a light fresh sweet scent to my nose with a nice mild menthol kick feels cooling which is perfect for summer and pairs together well with the Floid ASL.

    Throughout the month i've had some fantastic shaves with both my vintage & modern SE razors. Today was no exception...The Schick Japanese Twin are an amazing blade, on it's 7th outing it still feels smooth & efficient with no indication of dulling in the slightest..

    A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

    My face is feeling cool, smooth & smelling divine.;)

    The Pharoah's Dreamsicle Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #30 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with Gillette Double Ring Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pharoah's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Although I’ve become mainly a soap user since 2012 there are still certain creams that I love and the Italian version of Palmolive Menthol is one of them. This cream has a most delightful minty green scent with the typically fantastic Palmolive lather, the menthol sensation is so nice, and the skincare is so soothing as well as comfortable. The Prep and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave were such a perfect finish. Two passes were enough for a fabulous BBS shave which was so pleasurable!
