The LaToja Shaving Stick lathered well with Jayaruh #340 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick 66 G-4 Razor with a Schick Plus Platinum Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It’s been ages since I last used my Speick stick so I decided to pull it out this morning. Do I ever love its spicy/lavender scent, my gorgeous Yaqi Barber Pole synthetic churned up fabulous lather that was so thick, rich, slick, as well as protective, and the postshave feeling was so comfortable. The CutiBase moisturizer is great as a balm, it’s unscented so this way I could enjoy the scent of the Polar Ice aftershave and then finally the Lagerfeld eau de toilette which was a gift from my former secretary about seven years ago. Two passes were enough for a perfect BBS shave!

If "Rasur" means "Shave, what is the German word for "Razor"?

Shave this morning ended up real nice. I say "ended up" as there were some polka-dots DURING it, but they are gone AFTER it. The Simpsons puck is about ready to be chopped along the perimeter so as to finish quicker (bring everything into the bottom, leave nothing along the edges). Nice work at the loading dock to set up the Stoylin Pro-Handle. 2 passes everywhere except at the top of the sideburns(covered by my glasses frames). I don't think the extra pass is needed up there, frankly. Nice smooth clean feel all around. Osage for the aftershave, then Pierre Cardin cologne for the finish..Outta This World Excellent. .

Razor : Yaqi V2 chrome Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021, excellent tame mid range, easy to handle when assembled, small head parts to assemble, I get nice consistently excellent shaves & a joy to use + affordable!
Blade : Schick Proline P30 (6)- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Indian Sandalwood cream- Very nice rich scent of Sandalwood + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Bali 24mm silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard cleanse of soap residual + Ogallala Bayrum with sandalwood aftershave + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi chrome SE V2 Excalibur with a Schick proline p30 blade.
After using my Yaqi plastic travel bowl I realized I like my home made altered ceramic modified bowl a lot more because of handle design + nickel coin agitators epoxied on the bottom with shallower wall height but same 5 inch diameter makes a better bowl for myself lathering when tailor made for my needs. Yaqi plastic bowl would be good enough for travelling IMO.

(Face & Head Shave)

A new shave set up to start the weekend.... Maiden shave pairing the Feather Hi Stainless with the Merkur 39C.

I intend to do a focus for the next few weeks with the Feather Hi Stainless after not adding them to my blade rotation for a while.

My first few shaving experiences with the Feather Hi Stainless where uncomfortable which was down to my lack of shaving experience technique & shaving confidence which had nothing to do with the blade itself.
I have mentioned before that i was stupidly naive at the time in believing the daunting exaggerated mythological fearsome reputation reviews on them which planted a seed of hesitation in my mind before my first maiden shave with them... However my reacquaintance with them earlier this year has now vastly changed, i now find when i shave with them they are smooth and efficient, and are a pleasure to shave with. My only crit is the longevity of them, which for me is 2-3 shaves max before they lose their smoothness.

The Merkur 39c slant is such a wonderful solidly built smooth non-aggressive razor and like the 37C it's smaller handled sibling each time i have put it in my razor rotation i have had consistently good smooth shaves with it, today was no exception and Paired up with the Feather Hi stainless superbly feeling smooth & efficient.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.
