Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    LaToja Shaving Stick
    Jayaruh #340
    Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Pinaud Clubman

The LaToja Shaving Stick lathered well with Jayaruh #340 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Razor - Parker 87R
Blade - BIC Chrome Platinum (1st use)
    Soap - TOBS Lavender
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
Brush - Simpson T2 Trafalgar synthetic
Post shave - alum bar, Thayers Toner, & Captain's Choice "Venture"
    Aftershave - Pinaud Clubman

I filled the scuttle with hot water to warm it up. Cool mornings have returned so, a warm lather is nice. I probably could have whisked longer but, this worked well. TOBS is always very rich lather. 2 -pass shave with cleanup left me super smooth! I did manage a couple of weepers that needed the "Leak stopper". Still a nice shave with minimal feedback from the alum bar.

Nice job to close out(until next time)the Barbasol Pacific/Mennen Skin Bracer team. As I squeezed the shave cream onto my hand, I realized the Clubman Brushless Shave Cream(jar) works in a similar way(reach in with the hand that is about to be "creamed" ONLY. If more is needed, reach back in with same hand). But that's down the road as it begins to get cooler. One pass, so I figured I'd lift up the glasses frames to get the top of the sideburns. By the way, my "prep"-the Mentha Scrub bath soap-is QUITE COLD, as I'm sure other Stoylin bath soaps of the cold persuasion are. But it hits you in a way to make you wonder if Cryogen is like this, too. Anyway, back to the shave itself: I "stuck with it" on areas I first missed, by going back to redo the missed areas. They were parts of N.Porcupine, and various spots around Cactus. Any cuts, Knicks, or polkadots were neatly cooled off by the cold rinse and aftershave. Super Duper Excellent.

    Sunday Shave

Lather: Dr Jon's Essentials unscented soap
    Brush: Made Rite
    Razor: Henson AL13 mild
    Blade: Tatra Platinum
    Post: witch hazel and aloe
    Cold water shave :Animatedfrozensmily:

The Dr Jon's soap lathers up very easily and does a great job. The Made Rite clear Lucite brush is very interesting to look at, but the handle is really small so I had plenty of lather on my fingers.

This was my second day on the Tatra blade in the Henson razor and the result was just as good as the first day: easy, comfortable, and smooth.

Sunday Schick shave, August 14th 2022, Still enjoying my test with the modified Kai protouch guarded blade, settings 5,5 + pickups 9 and the blade is very smooth with good results + very unlikely to get irritation or weepers and still get a close shave. Any adjustable injector or Schick adjustables are best suited for this blade IMO for tweaking to person desire of shave wanted.

    Razor :
Schick adjustable injector model 3- Mfg 1970-72, excellent adjustable, well made, fairly long handle but manageable + one of my favorite Schick razors + will take any injector blade (Twins, different brands +modified blades) with ease.
Blade : Modified Kai Protouch (3) excellent sharpness & smoooth with reasonable longevity for a modified AC blade.
Soap : Razorock Fresco XXX mild mentholated[IMG], very nice masculine clean scent when dried down with excellent lather qualities. Very nice soap IMO.
Brush : Yaqi Aqua High mountain 24 mm silvertip badger- excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great mild scrub, excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX[IMG] with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG]excellent shave with my Schick adjustable injector M3 with a modified Kai protouch guarded blade.

    One helluva great Grand Freeze!

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 13
    Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS
    Prep ASB
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
    Brut Deodorant Spray
    Brut EdT

Am I ever frozen to the max - this setup really did a number on my face. The Glacial Electric Sheep is the first and only mutton tallow based Glacial soap - do I ever love it. The scent is so beautiful - it’s lemon mixed with citronella and eucalyptus just like the regular version, it gives awesome lather that’s so rich, slick, and protective, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave provided lots of additional icy cold postshave care. Lately I’m really loving the Brut’s scent - the wife ain’t too crazy about it though. Three passes left me smoother than a glass table top!

Have a good week - be well and safe!

Shave of the Week Starting 8/15/2022

    Parker 78r razor
    Parker blade
    AP Shave Co brush
    Seaforth SS (vintage)
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Assorted A/S

First go around with the Parker 78r. According to the vendor, it's got a new head design. I think so cuz the shave was different than with my 94r, smoother yet very efficient. The handle is killer good and love the gun metal finish. Using the vintage Seaforth again as it's (to me) a superb shave soap. Wish I had more. I'll use the new 78r for awhile then do a review but first shave indications are positive. At any rate, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks
