I decided to try and use up this soap because it is the one soap I own that I have had bad luck trying to whip it up nice. Well, today, I got it right and got some really nice lather. In the container, this soap is almost to the point of liquid. SUPER soft soap that one would think needs tiny bit of water. It fools you though! I kept adding water...and adding some more.....and some more before it started looking nice and foamy. This soap is VERY thirsty! And I had to whip it for over a minute to get nice foam!

Razor - 1956 Gillette Red Tip (well used and shows wear but, still works flawlessly and gives a super shave)
Blade - last shave with this BIC blade (2nd) Chrome Platinum
Soap - Captain's Choice "Land Ho" super soft soap
Brush - Classic Shaving synthetic (very nice and soft yet not limp bristles)
Pre-shave - Proraso RED sandalwood plus I used the cream that got on my fingers while whipping the soap.
Post-shave - Thayer toner with witch hazel & Captain's Choice "Land Ho" balm

Warmed face with HOT washcloth while I pre-heated my lather bowl and brush with HOT water. This soap really made me work for the nice rich lather. This soap is VERY thirsty and needs more water added than any other soap I have soft or hard. I did a 2-pass shave with cleanup on ny chin and jawline tough spots. WTG & ATG got me super smooth. I really like how nice this razor shaves. And finally, I got this soap to work for me!

What is a Schick Repeating Razor? Is it different from the standard injector design?

Yes, it is different. Colonel Schick designed it after his experience with the repeating rifles of WWI. It took a blade holder that was put in the handle. There was a plunger that you pull back and then push forward to push a new blade into the head forcing the old blade out. Then you rotated the head 90 degrees and began to shave. Mine is the third and final iteration of the repeating razor. Check out a page I made back in 2015 when I got my razor.

MMMonday, August 15th 2022, spline bumped up a little for testing!

Razor : Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf (Peerless model 17 nib SB)- Mfg 1945, excellent mid range, built near end of world war2 and is made of solid brass, built to last, very enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade :Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock Fresco XXX- nice mild mentholated soap with the nice fresh masculine scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Deep stones 24mm boss synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Fresco XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my MMCP Peerless model with a Gem coated blade!

Early morning Shave.

The Vitos Vegetale soap lathers up superbly provides a slick protective thick lather with a wonderful vibrant marzipan/sweet almond scent with a small hint of coconut oil which lasts throughout the shave and beyond leaving a superb post shave feel.
The Baili BD177 (super-speed clone) is an incredibly good razor each and every shave that I've had with it has been consistently comfortable and good. Today yet again, was no exception.

Another wonderful 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.
