Traces of gold on the handle that I hadn't noticed at first make it a very well used Milord Tech...so I now have basically two early Ranger Techs (this one and the usual all-nickel), among the best TTO shavers ever made imo.

Received my Raffle prizes last week. Thanks to @John Beeman, @BBS, and @Jorvaljr for participating. Looking forward to giving that DE a try, and the extra blades are great as I have not tried many of them.

 

Only problem with that theory is it is actually cheaper to maximize the plating process by doing the head parts with the handle. More like scenario if it was WW2 isssue is they were pumping out left over handle parts with a small batch of newly machined at the time razor heads to work down inventory. The military needed raw brass not brass with nickel plating, it costs time and money to take that plating off. Cheaper to pump out a few extra razor heads and sell them half finshed before ceasing production of brass razors outright.

 

E2 variant which is really an E1 sans the shape of the spring. These razors tend to get lumped in with the other E2 with a spring that opens. They are totally different razors this being the direct successor to the E1.I haven't bought razors in awhile but saw this one up for sale and gambled it might have been an E1 without knowing for sure since the price was right.

I should also post that I've received the Lord emofresh and Arko shave creams and some extra blades from @poppi for the TSD raffle.

 

The Gillette Reflex lives!! Got it this morning and took it to a local shop to install 2 fresh batteries. The watch looks modern and defies its age

My uncle had a watch similar to that in the 70's when the first digital watches came out ...... he paid over $300 back then for it.

Got this Valet Auto Strop razor in the mail today.

 

with the de-spined blades, they shave nice. maybe a little different learning curve.

 

that schick is damaged...cool score..

 

It just needs a handle ..... I sure Jim has that covered.

 

It's another candidate for a rifle brass case handle, plus a box I don't have. My personal rifle case handle Schick will go in it, it needs a home.
