Greetings all! I am brand new to this forum but not to wet shaving. I have been using soap and brush for 32 years, but only in the last 6 months have I converted to using a DE. I've been lurking for a few months and have picked up a lot of useful information and hope to continue to do so, as well as perhaps offer a few tips myself. Looking forward to my stay here!

Thank you for all the kind 'welcomes'! To answer your question, here is what I currently use. Razor: G3 gold slim adjustable Blade: Feather (setting of '2' on the slim) Soap: VDH Deluxe Cream: Bigelow...........I usually use a dab of the Bigelow with the VDH soap. Makes a great lather. AS: Splash on a little witch hazel, let dry a few minutes, then splash on Skin Bracer. ASB: Nivea or plain old Aloe Vera gel. Brush: hjm badger, made in Germany. Not very exotic, but it works for me. I get very close, smooth, irritation-free shaves, and sometimes even BBS. Still experimenting with blades though. Next on my list to try will be Derby's. I'll let you know how it goes.
