John Moseley (London) died in 1828 with four sons. Two looked to stay in the business. This is from 1862:

They were then bought out by Wm. Marples & Sons… I think I have a Marples around somewhere. :)
    Enjoy your shave.

  17. 6/8 Geneva ‘Old Dutch’, cream was Palmolive Classica lathered with a Semogue Galahad, and a splash of Myrsol Plastic Shave finish3d up a great shave.

This was my first time using Palmolive cream, though I have a few sticks. It’s great and would be even better at European prices. I’ve been meaning to try Palmolive and needed a few bucks to get free shipping on an order, so circumstances worked out well. It’s very slick and I probably used 2g in a lather bowl and had some lather left over. It does feel a little ‘oily’ in use, but no big deal. The post shave is really, really, good. Bonus points, it seems to rinse pretty cleanly, unlike some drugstore/barbershop creams.

My only complaint is that it doesn’t seem very concentrated compared to more upscale creams that take only 1/2g, so that 100g, $8 US tube looks more like $24 US when comparing value to something like AdP at around $36 for 100g (European prices, the tub is 125g). Or $32 for 100g of SMN. Buy it from one of the EU outfitters like Gifts and Care or Yourshaving when you can add on to an order or if you want quantity.
