  9. SEptember -- Saturday Morning Luxury Edition

For my first SEptember shave, I forgot about Stirling. I gathered up all my Stirling Soaps to rotate through this month. I am a little embarrassed by this picture. I better unsubscribe from Rod's email love letters!

I went straight to my favorite Stirling scent for the Saturday Morning Luxury Shave. This was the 14th use on the vintage Personna 74 blade. Blade is starting to feel a little inefficient, but I hate to move on to a fresh one when I only have so many unobtainium 74s.

  11. For full disclosure (and to appear less of a hoarder) the collection represents the soap in our household. With two college age sons, I have been obtaining soaps for 3 shavers, who will be taking some with them when they move out (hopefully soon :) )

  12. In that case, it'll soon do a disappearing act! :D..At least it's going to get used.

  15. Yes, Doc Ezlovan knows he can count on Eric for business(well, you and me too!!).
  16. That sounds like a very effective and enjoyable shave!
  17. Those are some nice shaving brushes. I have given Semogue 830 brushes as gifts (and bought one for myself as well). It is a really good brush. I really enjoyed the 1305 as well.
I definitely agree with you about revisiting blades that do not work and finding them working later. There have been razors that needed different technique or prep and once I learned that and returned to that razor/blade combination, I found I had better results.
I really like your focus for the month! I wish I had thought of that one. :)
  18. With some razors that need a steep angle, I have to avoid certain directions in that area or I will definitely be rewarded with a nick. Other razors, it is not a problem. I think twice before doing touch ups in that area (if needed).

  19. I'm gonna give this another go this month. Focusing on straights to refine my technique. Shaves have been good so far for past 1 - 2 months. I'm going to switch up my soap from my favorite MWF to some Stirling fall scented soaps I have that I haven't used in a while and their corresponding A/S if I have them. Of course, I'm going to start this with my next shave as I didn't find my soap stash in time for my shave yesterday, which is below.

  20. Glad you're still focusing on straight shaving Ken. Henckel Friodurs are superb shavers. I am going to shave with mine later in the week.
