Tabac and La Toja.one is tallow based the other isnt but they're outstanding.Haven t tried TSD ones but their formulation is really similar to one that I have founded lately(glycerin based) and love it and I bet that Im gonna love the TSD ones too.
If you like the scent of Tabac, TSD's Tabac-like is a dead ringer for it in my book. A great job matching them up...

Tabac JoAnna's Bay Rum My son started using Poraso and swears by it, so I have some on order. Used Old Spice and then Williams for decades and liked them both. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on a puck of Old Spice in decent condition to see if it's as good as I remember. Edit: Received the Poraso and tried it. This one very nice soap. Lubrication was better than Tabac, for me at least. Very easy to lather. This could push Tabac out of the number one spot. Need to try it some more.
There are so many good ones and my favorites change from time to time. Right now, my top soaps in no particular order are: Mitchell's Wool Fat Speick Shave Stick Tabac/Irisch Moos (essentially the same soap with different scents) D.R. Harris (Arlington) Cyril Salter Penhaligons English Fern Valobra Shave Stick
So far it's Tabac. I just don't seem to get as effortless and close a shave, regardless of blades, with anything else. Just bought a puck of L'Occitane Cade last week at the mall and it seems to be working out great. Tabac still sits at the top.
Tough choice, there are several that really work great. If I had to nail it down: Penhaligons Fern (old version) I pick this one on scent rather than performance alone which is fantastic, but not better than the others. DR Harris Arlington Tabac Mitchells
Mamma Bear's Rosemary Mint is my favorite. It lathers nice and for me the fragrance is just awesome in the morning.
You know Kent and Mitchell's Wool Fat are the same don't you? I know because it's my favorite also, hence the Fat Lover in the signature.
