Well I decided to go with a full on Micromatic Menthol Monday Shave. Yes, I did change my mind for today's shave. Lol!
I have to say that Cryogen loves water and you do have to work harder to get a nice lather, but it is worth it. I just lightly load with a dry brush and take it to my wet face to lather while constantly adding water to the brush tips until I get a nice lather.
The MMOC is such an awesome razor even with an unbranded GEM SE Blade. The blade was a lot smoother than my first shave which is to be expected. Did some buffing during my 2 passes, but I did get an error free BBS shave. I lathered my face the third time just to experience that awesome frigid sensation and then I rinsed my face clean.

I didn't get any feedback from the alum so this told me that this was an excellent shave.
Witch hazel and the matching aftershave was splashed on my shaved areas to end this wonderful shave. The technique to get a great shave is to have a very soft touch and the razor almost flush to the skin so that there is a shallow angle of attack. If you use this razor like a DE razor, then you definitely will have unwarranted memory lines. Have a great evening guys!

I bought two plastic encased magnets from Shave Nation (they no longer sell the version I bought). I can safely store probably three DE blades on each at a time but usually it is just one DE blade and one AC blade on each. I attach the magnets to the screws in my medicine cabinet.

I also have the DE and AC versions of this 3D printed blade dryer that I like. I picked them up on a whim when I placed an order for this shave tub drying station (which I really like) and this blade dispenser (which I have not used yet). The person who makes them has several other interesting items that I may pick up as well.

yes sir...to be honest,we are all a bit "off "to continue to do what we do.most folks shave and not think twice about it..i hear about it regularly.you do what on what?...i am grateful for our little group..

SEptember -- Big Mail Call Edition

New items arrived in today's mail. The new Asylum "injector" razor carries more weight than a Schick, and also a greater level of aggression. The Stirling products have been "on sale" for so long, I couldn't resist.

We definitely are a peculiar bunch. Lol! At my get together this Saturday, a lady friend didn't think I was 67 because she noted that I had youthful skin. I told her that I use straight razors and shave soaps that don't dry out my skin, etc. Some of the guys were impressed because they felt that my method of shaving was dangerous and that the skill to do a straight razor shave was beyond their comprehension. Of course, I showed them pics of Artie and Max and they were amazed. I said that I don't have to shave every 24 hrs because I get very close shaves. I seek opportunities to share with guys about seeking our way of shaving, but unfortunately, they don't seem to want to try it.

Yes, I purchased from Bullgoose with the discount. The razor caught my eye when released, but the price is pretty steep. It is still steep even with the discount, but it made the hurt more tolerable .

i get that.most are engrained in what they do and have learned..no second thought.not a problem they need to fix or invest in..

it's evident how boring my stuff is based on the amount of chatter it creates..

So true. I just feel for people spending 30 dollars a month for cartridge refills. Smh.

me too....er not so much..more for us to enjoy...i am here to help the curious who want better..not the idiots who think they know better....but the uneducated..
