    Tabac Tuesday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Tabac Shaving Soap
    Oscar11 Synthetic
    Gem Flying Wing
    Supply Black Label Blade
    CWR
    Tabac AS

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Flying Wing Razor and a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Cryogen is a menthol atom bomb indeed but I find the Stirling Glacial soaps are right up there with it and so is this Frosted Lavender soap that I used yesterday. Great shave brother!

    Tuesday morning:

    L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 14
    Vi John Menthol SC
    CutiBase Moisturizer
    Brut Deodorant Spray
    Brut AS Splash
    Brut Cologne

Wow, this Wilkinson Sword blade started to crap out on me during my second pass and it was a fluke that it was able to get me as smooth as it did because I had to really struggle so there’s no way I could have done a third pass. The Vi John Menthol cream lathered fantastically with my gorgeous Yaqi synthetic - this cream is from India and it’s very popular in barbershops over there, the scent is kinda weird - it’s not unpleasant, just weird and hard to describe - perhaps like a cheap incense. The menthol sensation is so subdued that it’s hardly noticeable but the skincare is pretty friggin good. The CutiBase moisturizer works perfectly as a balm, and I’m really loving the Brut aftershave, deodorant, and cologne for every day use - it’s not something I would wear for an evening occasion. Despite the dull blade I can’t complain because I still turned out BBS and comfortable.

Have a good day - be well and safe! [IMG]

Now that overnight temps are finally below 50°F, I can use something besides Bigelow.

Dusy Kabinett, Vie-Long horse, ATT with Rapira SS and finish with Captain’s Choice North. 2 pass and a resulting DFS.

Hard to tell-I can't read the print on it. It's gold colored.

Featherweight shave is VERY pleasant! Theo is back to watching me shave.

Razor - GEM Featherweight (early version)
Blade - GEM Personna SS 6th shave
Pre-shave - TOBS Herbal Gel (used up and now deep sixxed! I am not getting more.)
    Soap - MWF
    Brush - Simpson #46 Berkeley
    Post - Thayers Toner "Lavender"
Finishing touch - Proraso Balm & AS

It was another very pleasant shave with the Featherweight. This is now one of my favs. 2-pass shave with no cleanup. WTG & ATG and the alum bar was silent. I can shave quickly with this razor now with no problems. No cuts, nicks, or errors. I also enclose a pic of me lathered for my second pass. Heading to the senior center for a guitar jam with friends. I may run to the italian restaurant afterwards. I need my fix!

I hope all have a pleasant day!

Albion is the original name of England which the land was known as by the Romans, probably from the Latin albus meaning white, and referring to the chalk cliffs along the south-east coast of England.

Razor : DE TARMAX by @twhite , this is one smooth razor shave and it is one of my favorite adjustable razors of 6, settings go from 1-8 on dial and 8 seems to be my sweet spot, it must be the design for this exceptional smoothness + efficentcy of having the blade being flat and riding the bar give just stellar results. The handle is not stock but a modified Gem Micromatic handle that I enjoy and with this combination makes for excellent shaving results. 1 of 4 proto types of the DE TARMAX designed by Tom of the many different razors he has created over the years. Won this in a fund raising raffle on this forum, lucky me!
Blade : Gillette Super platinum(4) Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Lavender, nice masculine scent of lavender with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Artic sky 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly soft hair tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
    Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. (8)WTG +(8) ATG + pickups(10)settings.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my DE TARMAX adjustable with a Gillette 7oClock SP(black).

    Today's shave: Use-It-Up Tuesday

    Gillette Slim - setting 4
daylogic (Personna Israel) blade - 6th shave
    PhiipsNorelco 6423LC electric razor (GASP!)
    Men's Zone brushless/latherless cream
    6:1 blend Vi-Jon Spice/Clubman VIBR aftershave

Today's shave features items languishing around my Den that need using up.

Shave Quality: Poor. Noticed visible stubble when I styled my hair 10 minutes after the shave. Cut myself below my nose going ATG, too. Almost certainly my blade was shot. Zapped off the stubble with my Norelco. and now have a near-BBS face.

Shave comfort: Very good, probably owing to a spent blade.

The Men's Zone brushless isn't bad at all, I just have stuff I like better. It's been lingering around here since '08, mostly due to the sickly-swwet Old Spice/Dawn dishwashing liquid "fragrance" it arrived with. Now, 14 years later, the spice notes have faded away leaving only a fresh, soapy fragrance that's actually kinda pleasant.
