Wednesday morning: Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/new Wilkinson Sword MSC Nordic Croco SS CutiBase Moisturizer Brut Deodorant Spray Brut AS Splash Brut Cologne A brand new Wilkinson Sword blade in my Tech made such a big difference in today’s shave - despite how mild this razor is and how tough my beard stubble is two passes were enough for a fantastic BBS shave that was so easy peasy as well as enjoyable. My beauty of a Yaqi Barber Pole synthetic whipped up such thick, rich lather from the Nordic Croco soap that was so slick, the scent is a carbon copy of the Davidoff Cool Water fragrance which I enjoy, and the skincare is perfect - a special thanks to Fernando for creating this treasure. The CutiBase moisturizer works perfectly as a balm as I’ve said before, and the Brut has become a top favourite daytime fragrance of mine much to my wife’s chagrin. (I still love you baby girl!) Smooth as silk and feeling great! Enjoy your day - be well and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Williams Wednesday Shave Lather: Vintage Williams Mug Soap Brush: Dubl Duck Razor: RazoRock Mamba 53 Blade: Tatra Platinum Post: Witch Hazel and aloe Cold water shave Nice comfortable shave overall. I frequently scrape myself trying too hard to get close on the left side above my lip and I did it again today. I ran the alum block over my face and got some stinging in that spot. It's probably because I'm right-handed and that is an awkward angle and motion. I need to concentrate on keeping the right pressure and angle on that side AND not obsess myself over getting perfectly close! The stubble will be back tomorrow so there's no point in irritating my skin today.

Late post! I got bike all washed and tuned so, I went to the sister restaurant to my fav, Little Italy 2. Didn't have the sweet watress there but, good food none the less. 85 mile ride. Sun finally came out when I was almost back home. Hawk v3 shave with OC Razor - Hawk v3 Open Comb Blade - Titan Mild 5th shave & binned Pre-shave - Proraso White Soap - Captian's Choice "Land Ho" Brush - the Perfecto brush that I rescued and brought back to life. It has stopped shedding hairs. Post - Thayers Toner "Rose Petal" AS - Captain's Choice "Italia" Nice 2-pass shave WTG & ATG. I did manage to cut myself twice on my neck under my chin. I guess I got in a hurry wanting to head out on the bike. Alum stopped them and gave minimal feedback. The scent of the Land Ho is very nice. Thirsty soap! Still a very pleasant shave! I washed bike this morning and then plugged it into my Super Tuner to set the fuel injection. Take for a 15 minute ride while the tuner records value. Plug back into computer and it makes needed adjustments. Bike was running very nice! A bit cooler today so, I wore full leathers (jacket and my chaps & gloves) They told me that the one I normally go to is closed for renovations for 2 weeks! This one is in Hancock, NY right off interstate 17. Nice having the bike back together
Today's shave: Williams Wednesday Warm shower - face brush-washed with Yardley Shea Buttermilk soap and Van der Hagen boar brush Gillette Slim I1 (1963) - setting 4 Astra Superior Platinum blade - 1st shave Williams Mug soap - c. 2014 RazoRock Snowman brush 5:5:1 blend Barbasol Brisk/Vi-Jon Brut/Clubman VIBR aftershave Today marks the beginning of a blade sampler safari. I've elected to evaluate the blades in alphabetical order, and at the top of the list is the Astra Superior Platinum. This is my first experience with an Astra blade. Shave Quality: Near BBS. Went WTG, XTG on my chin only, then ATG. A nick at the base of my neck closed up right quick. Not quite as close as when deploying BiC Chrome Platinum or daylogic/Personna Israel blades. Application of aftershave revealed no razor burn to speak of. Shave Comfort: Tolerable, becoming excellent after a few swipes. The first few swipes of the razor dragged and scraped with near-Merkur roughness. This completely went away before the end of my WTG pass and the last 2/3 of my shave was buttery smooth. It's not fair to rate a blade after just one shave, and I have a hunch my second shave with this blade will be better than the first. We'll find out tomorrow...
SEptember - Stirling September Prep: P.A.A. Cube 2.0 (face wash) Blade: sChick Injector Razor: Eversharp-Schick G1 (1946-1949) Brush: Yaqi Purple Haze (synthetic) Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Light-Ish Red Post 1: P.A.A. Alum w/ dry dock system Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus Aftershave: Stirling Soap Co. Light-Ish Red Finish: Stirling Soap Co. Light-Ish Red EdT In honor of the Los Angeles Dodgers winning last night's game and becoming the National League West champions (with a current record of 98 wins and 43 losses), winning the division in the quickest the team has ever done it in franchise history, at game 141 games, I decided to take on a new challenge thinking of the challenge they just overcame. The Dodgers have won their division 9 out of the last 10 years, only missing out last year due to finishing the season one game behind the San Francisco Giants but having the most wins ever at 106, of any MLB team that failed to win its division or league. 106 is also the franchise record. With all that said, I took on the challenge of using a razor I had never used before. The Eversharp-Schick G1 Injector Razor. I have a few injector razors (including a Type C) but had never really thought about using them until I caught wind of the Single-Edge September event. I recently picked up a four pack of sChick blades in preparation for this month's event. The razor needed a good cleaning as it's super old and had a very rusty razor left in it for who knows how long. With a new blade and some amazing preshave/shaving soap, I went to work. I immediately noticed the quality and smoothness of this razor. The performance of the injector blade was outstanding and the nimbleness of the razor overall was just amazing. I've never had such an easy time getting a bbs shave than with this razor. It's, in my opinion, like a vintage Henson. A full on autopilot razor. I can't tell you how much fun I had using this G1. I've seriously fallen in love with this razor. With three passes, including going full on against the grain on my upper lip (which I rarely do), I achieved a beautiful bbs shave. Now all I can think about is finding the box that has the rest of my razor collection including a Type C and Type E. Long story short. I rose to the occasion like my favorite baseball team did and came out a champion. P.S. If you haven't used one of these razors, do yourself a favor and pick one up. Oh, and I think it would also make for a great travel razor. I'll be using this when traveling from now on. Shave on gentlemen!
