    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 10051.
    Face Lather.
Lather: Wickham 1912 Irish Fern. (Sample)
    Blade: Dorco Titan. (D1)
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE 89. (Kelvin)

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. / Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Nivea Men 2 Phase + P&G Old Spice Original ASL Mixture. / Aloe Vera Gel.

    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

Another very acceptable shave to finish my shaving week off in style.

The Wickham 1912 Irish fern soap like the classic 24 soap sample is a joy to shave with...The Wickham's soap's i have sampled are the best scented soap's that I've had the pleasure of trying to date. Adding to that they also provide a wonderful slick protective lather using only a small amount to create enough lather for the full shave leaving a great post shave feel. I have enough of the 1912 Irish Fern sample left for one more outing to finish which i will use in a future shave.

The Dorco Titan was another great match with the Edwin Jagger DE 89 making a smooth efficient duo.

A very comfortable 2 pass + pick- ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing to the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

    Thursday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    B-pure Shave Soap
    Oscar11 Synthetic
    Gem Flying Wing
    Supply Black Label Blade
    CWR
    Lustray Spice AS

The B-pure Shave Soap lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Flying Wing Razor and a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  6. My Lather Catcher will be here tomorrow. I do not have a lot to shave this morning so, I am going to leave it until tomorrow. No-shave day!

  7. Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 2
    Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS
    Prep ASB
Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold and beautiful - the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are two delightfully scented menthol atom bombs. The soap lathers terrifically with the help of my beautiful Yaqi Barber Pole synthetic, and like all of Rod’s soaps I find the lather is so much better from face lathering rather than bowl lathering, the menthol sensation is so intense, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep’s moisturizing and soothing are both awesome - this stuff became my favourite balm. Finally the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave went on icy cold along with its gorgeous scent which lasts all day. This time I did three passes and I got a magnificent BBS shave which was so enjoyable!

Have a good day - be well and safe![IMG]

  14. Today's Shave: Menthol Thursday

No photo today...my nearly-empty, crinkled-up old tube of cream just isn't very photogenic.

Warm shower - face brush-washed with Yardley Shea Buttermilk soap
    Gillette Slim (Code I1 - 1963) - setting 4
Astra Superior Platinum blade - 2nd shave
    C. O. Bigelow (Proraso) cream
    RazoRock Snowman brush
    daylogic Arctic Blue aftershave lotion

Methodology: Full face WTG; chin and neck XTG; full face ATG
Shave quality: BBS! Significantly closer shave than yesterday's 1st effort with this blade.
    Nicks, cuts, weepers: None.
    Razor burn: None.
Shave comfort: Smooth WTG and ATG; some dragging noted on my XTG passes. No big deal, and the very close shave was worth it.

Tomorrow I'll give the Astra SP a go in my Pre-War Tech, and see if I get a more comfortable shave with that combo.

  17. September has been going well. I am getting decent shaves with very few nicks.

Still using the VDH, Hi-Synthetic Omega Brush, and Stirling Soap, but I changed blade.

I ran out of the current pack of Astra Superior Platinum, so I opened a pack of Voshkod blades. Had only one shave with it thus far, but it feels good as if it is a bit smoother. Don't know how to desribe it, but it is good.

I stopped using the bowl because my shave soap is low and now it is the bowl.
