  1. I'm glad you mentioned that Europeam barbersjop scents fall into the "old-school" catergory. Helps me with my Throwback Thursday choices(Razorock American Barber but produced in Italy).
  2. Hi Friends,

  4. Here's the plan for Monday(19th):

    prep-Clubman Pinaud Beard&Body wash(in shower)
    shave-Razorock American Barber*
brush-Maggard 24 mm Marble Handle synthetic
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot
    A.S.-Clu
    bman Pinaud(12.5 oz).

    *
American Barber made in Italy. As Yogi Berra would say "Only in America".
  5. Today's Shave: Easy Sunday

Warm shower; face brush-washed with Earth Ylang & Palmarosa soap
Gillette Pre-War Tech - Ball End handle
Astra Superior Stainless blade -3rd Shave
    Barbasol Cool Menthol cream
    RazoRock Snowman brush
    Barbasol Brisk aftershave lotion

    Methodology:
Face-lathered. Full face WTG; chin and neck XTG; full face ATG
Shave quality: BBS! That's three-for-three with this blade.
    Nicks, cuts, weepers, irritation: None.
    Razor burn: Zero.
Shave comfort: Generally excellent. Minor dragging noted shaving ATG under my nose. Otherwise, I couldn't feel the blade.

Tried again to get a serviceable shaving lather from the Earth soap...no dice.

As much as I love this classic vintage Barbasol variety, I think today's Pacific Rush with Menthol and Caffeine is just as good, if not better.

    Menthol Monday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    TSD Iced Lime Shave Stick
    Jayaruh #395 Badger
    AutoStrop A2
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Osage Rub

The TSD Iced Lime Shave Stick lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A2 Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  11. Menthol Monday:

Not a Grand Freeze but still cold enough!

    L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 6
    RVT Yuka Lyptik SS
    Prep ASB
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash
    Stirling Baker Street EdT

My brother Mo in Durban, South Africa also has some fantastic soaps and his Yuka Lyptik is one of them. It’s vegan based and the scent is very nice - it’s exactly like the Halls eucalyptus lozenges, the lather is a pleasure to whip up, there’s more than enough menthol in it to please me, and the skincare is really good. The Prep gave me lots of additional postshave care, and the Aqua Velva aftershave went on really chilly. The Baker Street eau de toilette smells awesome - its scent is very classy and refined. Three passes resulted in a magnificent BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Have a good week - be well and safe![IMG]

  12. Y'know, I believe gave you the same compliment earlier, when you had the same arsenal. Aaaah, facts are facts. You're welcome.

  13. I've never been able to find that Barbasol aftershave.
  14. Let me try to say that in English..."You speak the truth, brother!".
  15. No photos today. I did a quick & dirty shave with my Flatboy by "Razorine"
One pass with cleanup. Lavender kinda day.

Lot on my plate....damn taxes....my taxable in NY state is $8831 ($22,300 fed) but my school tax bill is over $1000. No groceries this month...
I am fearful what the county taxes will be...last year was over $2000.

The slogan, "I LOVE NY" is said with HEAVY sarcasm and a roll of the eyes.
