I decided to do a bowl lather today with the Stirling Barbershop soap. As you can see, I whipped up a nice, creamy lather.



The scent coming off the bowl was quite strong, but pleasant.
Did a 2 passer for a close and comfortable shave. The alum gave some feedback in the usual area. Finished with the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS. Have a nice day.

Prep: Warm shower: Stirling Sheep bar soap

Pre: Washed face with Stirling Glacial unscented pre-shave soap then reapplied before lathering.

Brush: RV 25 mm STF

Lather : Razorock XXX Italian shaving soap

Blade: Feather - Pro Super (D 2.5)

Razor: Razorock Hawk V3
Base Plate: Standard
Handle: Razorock UFO

Post: unscented Stirling witch hazel and PAA Mysterium Serum

I decided to see how much more efficient the Hawk could be by trying the Feather - Pro Super blade. I had read some people saying it made the razor too aggressive for them. Others said they liked the combination. So I decided to go with the standard plate and see what this combination would do.

I did a two pass shave with with touch ups in the mustache area to get the stubble directly under my nose.

This was the efficiency I have been looking for from this razor! It was more efficient than using the Feather - Pro blade with the A plate. It did very well in the mustache area (my trouble spot) and it cleared the stubble in my chin area with ease. I had some razor burn but overall it was a BBS.

I think I will try this blade with the A plate next to see what it is like.

I might keep this razor after all.

Thank you, Joe. I've learned to control my impulsive buying urges. The leaf twig looks a great contender for head/dome shaving, but with my introduction to injector razors this year and reacquainting myself to the yaqi katana & Gillette guard I've found my go to shaving tools for head shaving which in all honesty I'm very content with. To buy the leaf twig would be buying for the sake of buying and would end with yours truly having buyer's remorse. Take care and enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Terrific shave and setup David! Finding the right razor and blade combo does give a shaver nice shaves. As your technique improves, you may find that what was a poor combo is a good one indeed. Enjoy your day.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 49.
Face Lather.
Lather: Palmolive Classic shave Sticks. (Grated)
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum 'Snapped in 1/2'. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi Katana.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / P&G Old Spice Whitewater ASL. / Aloe Vera Gel.
