I got the razor wrong! LOL They look the same but, it wasn't the Star. It was the GEM Damaskeene. LOUD feedback while shaving is NICE! I guess I had a senior moment!

DE SOTD, SEptember 28th 2022 Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- excellent mid range, well built and likeable design for blade clamping and under the nose area + I get really stellar shaves with this razor that are enjoyable. Blade : Gillette Nacet (1) Sharp & smooth with excellent longevity. Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapira, nice unique scent(Aramis classic?) + excellent lather qualities. Yaqi commissioned Master soap creations S.A to make aftershave and soaps for their line. Excellent protection with this soap. Brush : Razorock 24mm Noir 400 synthetic Plissoft, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber, excellent painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Witch hazel cleanse of beard + Yaqi Musketeer Rapira slash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette Nacet. Have some great shaves!

Brush: Lider Turkish Boar. Face Lather. Lather: Derby Shave Stick. Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum 'Snapped in 1/2'. (D2) Razor: Yaqi Katana. Post: Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / Gummy Traditional Turkish tobacco Cologne. /Arko Fresh ASB. Greetings, Early Morning Shave, A pleasurable shave to finish my shaving week off in style...Another great shave where everything worked together superbly. I've enjoyed my reacquaintance with the Yaqi Katana. A comfortable 2 pass + pick-ups shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Arko Fresh ASB. Today's shave: Williams Wednesday Warm shower - face brush-washed with Yardley Shea Buttermilk soap Gillette Slim adjustable - setting 4 Shark Platinum blade - 3rd shave Williams Mug soap - c. 2014 RazoRock Snowman brush Aqua Velva Ice Sport after shave lotion Methodology: Face-lathered. Full-face WTG; chin/neck XTG; full-face ATG Shave quality: Just missed being BBS, but shave remained presentable for a couple hours longer than normal. Nice! Nicks, cuts, weepers, irritation: Nick on my chin going ATG. The 'Velva fixed it right up. Shave comfort: Occasional slight dragging during all passes with some digging in going ATG. Blade felt like it was spent in the middle of my ATG pass, and that's when I got nicked. Compared to the excellent Astra SS, BiC Chrome Platinum, Derby Extra SS, and Personna Israel blades I've been deploying lately, the Shark Platinum is a bit of a letdown. That said, I still enjoyed my shaves. I've been tracking the performance of blades on a spreadsheet, using shave quality, shave comfort, freedom from nicks/mishaps, longevity, and likelihood of repurchase as criteria.
