    Here's how I opened October.

    prep-Stoylin soap(Sandpiper)in shower
    shave-Barbasol Original Outstanding Goo
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Bill Neumann(Signature 1907)

Since I don't have Bill Neumann 1907 soap, I'll have to match the A.S. with some sophisticated goo. AAAAh, that'll be all right. Barbasol did the job nicely for me today-1 pass and no Cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots, Nice overall shave. Again, I should have done better down at Cactus Nation(neck). I'll try to correct that tomorrow. Super Duper Excellent.

Schick Saturday Shave, Oct 1st 2022

Razor : Schick adjustable injector M3- Mfg 1970-72, well built and easy to adjust on the go, still using this modified Kai Protouch and it is showing signs of weakness on 5th use.
Blade : Kai Protouch(5) excellent blade, sharp & and smooth with reasonable longevity, excellent blade for folks who nick easy or other skin blemishes IMO. Good blade to use when learning how to use a Shavette IMO.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & sandal wood, nice Bayrum scent with some clove + excellent lather protection.
Brush : Yaqi Moka express 26 mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, big pillow soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual cleanse + Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood AS[IMG] + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my Schick adjustable injector with a Kai Protouch blade.

    Sunday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 5
    MSC Peppermint Lime SS
    Prep ASB
    MSC Peppermint Lime AS Splash
    Aramis EdT

I’ve tried shaving every second day and it’s just no good - my friggin beard stubble is so tough that it’s a struggle so it’s back to shaving every day. The Peppermint Lime soap and aftershave are so delightful - the scent is exactly what it implies - a beautiful mix of peppermint and lime. The soap is tallow based so it gives lots of thick, rich, slick lather along with a killer cold menthol sensation and such great postshave care which the wonderful Prep balm enhances, and the Peppermint Lime aftershave is witch hazel based so there’s no burning or stinging from it not to mention how frigid it is. A superb three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

Enjoy your Sunday - be well and safe![IMG]

    Razor - Ever-Ready "Lather Catcher"
Blade - fresh GEM Personna SS
Soap - TOBS "Mr Taylor's Shaving Cream"
    Pre-shave - Proraso Red
    Brush - Perfecto
Post-shave - Thayers Toner with witch hazel "Lavender"& Geo F Trumper Skinfood
    AS - Pinaud Clubman

I got in a hurry and did not spend enough time softening the 2-day growth. I warmed the Scupper mug and brush with HOT water and warmed face with HOT washcloth (but not long enough). TOBS is always easy to whip to a nice lather. I did a 2-pass shave with no cleanup WTG & ATG. The first pass really tugged and I could feel the irritation with the first face rinse. Re-applied and did second pass that was more pleasant but, the damage was done! Alum bar gave considerable feedback and I had 3 small weepers. Leak stopper took care of them. Nice close shave but, I will not go fast again!

The grocery store is a Wegman's and it is a VERY popular place to shop! Good prices. I always try to get there early in the morning. It gets CRAZY at noontime! PACKED with old people! (I resemble that!)

They have the best fresh bakery bread and the produce is fresh too. Meat is really good as well.

It looked like others have gotten the same idea! It was not as bad as I have seen it, but, it was busy!

    Sunday SOTD:
    1953 Gillette President
    Feather blade
    Cella shave soap
“Blade” boar brush - a cheap brush I got at Marshalls a few weeks ago
Finished off the shave with the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements alum block and Cella aftershave

I’ve been doing this wet shave thing for about 3 years now and I’m still learning. Last night I watched a great video on YouTube about face lathering (I’m a face latherer) and I tried out what I learned today and it worked. And a few weeks ago I figured out the concept of “riding the cap” and it has really made a difference in the shave experience, particularly when I go ATG.
