I have no idea what a stoylin refill is. I bought a 4.5 ounce refill Puck from Stirling I then placed it in my empty fine Accoutrements bowl. It dropped in pretty easy except the width was a bit wide, all I had to do was mash it down and it fit perfectly. Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk
thank you Jim.in the mornings this outdoor area is in the shade, with the sun behind me,afternoons are a lot brighter, more direct sunlight and shadowy.. today is a sunny day out.rainy days it can be too dark, then i use the flash.
I am late posting today because I go to the senior center every tuesday to play guitar for the seniors with several friends. On top of it all, I fell on the stairs this morning thinking I was at the bottom when I had one more step! I sprained my ankle pretty good. Day for doing nothing. Razor - Early Gillette open comb Black - Treet fresh blade Pree-shave - Proraso Red Soap - Chiseled Face "Sherlock" Post-shave - Thayers Toner & Geo F Trumper Skinfood AS - Chiseled Face "Sherlock" Pleasant shave. Showered last night after working on wood so, I warmed my face with HOT washcloth while I warmed the scupper mug. Pleasant shaver! 2-pass shave WTG & ATG. No cuts, nicks, or weepers. Alum bar was silent. Now, I am sitting with my foot wrapped and elevated.

I read too fast so, at first I thought you said something about sandpaper in the shower. (OUCH!) LOL Was it wet/dry paper?
Only a select few know to what Master Turner refers. You'll have to decide if want to be in "Turner's Loop".

Nice blade feel but, still gentle compared to some of my other open comb razors. Once you have the proper technique, these are some of the nicest shavers I have!
Tuesday, October 4 Fine Fresh Vetiver~~Semogue 2012 SE~~British Red Tip/Spoiler~~Tom Ford Grey Vetiver I might start commenting more about my shaves here; realizing, naturally, this is primarily a "Shave Photo" thread. Please indulge your "Primo" This is the third shave on this Spoiler and it was as rough as the first two. Blade binned. It should be noted, that I have used a single spoiler for 30 shaves. They surpass the Personna 74's and Wilkinson Light Brigades easily. Must've been a clunker; first one ever. The Fine soap, in hind sight, was one of THE best tallow soaps on the market. They should have charged a lot more and sold it in a classy jar. It's that good. The Semogue continues to break-in, although it has been my experience, Semogue Misturas take twice as long as a typical boar. I mentioned that this brush has its fair-share of black bristles---which will never split. I have been known to cut them at the base of the knot. It's a tedious process, but makes a huge improvement. More later...must decide...must find time... The British Red Tip has a larger gap than its American cousin. They also appear to have a more "purple-ish", painted tip. Nice razor and increasingly difficult to find in this original condition. Finished the rough shave (yes, more weepers on the neck) with some witch hazel and Bulldog unscented/sensitive ASB. Nice product. Finally, some of TF's Grey Vetiver EdP.
