Went to an antique store a few weeks back and in speaking with the owner he said he a bunch of stuff. Came back this week and he pulled out boxes and boxes of brushes. I picked a few and a small display case plus a couple of razors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great haul! Nice Simpson Keyhole and Rooneys and Star. The Hess has an excellent color! I assume your not in to the small brushes, but the small Made Rite 57 butterscotch in the center of the second picture is one I grab for a great traveler.
Man there were soo many great brushes. I had about 30 or so lined up to choose from. Small and large. But i couldnt grab all of them and there were 4 boxes full of brushes. I know i left some gems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know the feeling ..... I've been in that situation. It's taken me time, but I've realized I like the small beefy brushes and being butterscotch doesn't hurt.
A Ranger Tech and case, along with a blade bank, I just need the case. And from Keith (@Enrico) a few brushes and cigars..........
Found my first 1934-36 Aristocrat in the wild. It was in rough shape. So for $10 I de idea to see if I could save it. A nice bath and 20 minutes with a pair of pliers and a few pins to crimp. I now a decent user. Before After Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
No not on this one. It still has a lazy door. Things were really out of whack. I will be happy using as is. It will be up for my next shave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Next time you go there if there's another one of the rubberset 400 brushes let me know how much. You know I have been looking for one that doesn't cost a bloody fortune !! Just let me know how much he wants and how much you'd want to pick it up for me and drop it in post .....Thanks .....
Thursday’s mail call is from Maggard Razors; today I got Saponificio Varesino’s 70th Anniversary aftershave.
I kept telling myself no more brushes as I have around 50 of them now to work on. But this came up and it was a good deal............ .
Nice snag woth the 300N handle. I really like that one. I've redone a few of them and with the translucent base, use a little black sharpie on the top to hide the plug. Here is one with an Omega boar knot.
