The Proraso Green Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard and the Astra SP Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

OMG, the best way to describe this Frosted Lavender soap and aftershave is a whiff of soothing relaxation while sitting in a freezer - this is definitely the most gorgeous lavender scent I’ve ever experienced. The soap’s tallow formula is splendid - it promotes such thick, rich, slick, creamy lather, the menthol sensation is easily a match for any of the Stirling Glacial soaps, and it’s so gentle on my skin. The Prep became my favourite balm - it’s hard not to love it because it’s so moisturizing, soothing as well as cooling, and the Frosted Lavender aftershave is witch hazel based so there’s never any burning or stinging from it and it’s so damned FRIGID. The wife loves the Polo Green on me so I’m happy that she’s happy. All in all a most enjoyable three pass BBS shave!

Last December I had a really bad bout of Covid (at least to me it was bad) and it messed up my smeller which still hasn't recovered 100%. Some of the scents I used to love I can barely stand now. Decided to try the Seaforth! Spiced SS cuz it works great and had smelled wonderful before Covid. Now it still works great and I can deal with the scent. It's so messed up. Anyway, a fine shave was had and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

No shampoo - hair not washed today

I knew that Van der Hagen brush would be good for something someday...I've been aggressively brush-washing my 11-day beard with the Yardley soap and it's done a great job at keeping the dreaded new-beard itch at bay. It's also seemed to stimulate hair growth; whisker length is way ahead of where it was at this point the last time I grew it out.

That said, I really miss shaving as part of my daily routine--the satisfaction of using a perfectly-matched razor and blade, the ritual of lathering up, the decadent fragrances of soap and after shave, and coming home to a delightfully fresh-smelling washroom after work--all in the rear-view mirror now.

Razor : Gem G bar- Mfg 1955-58, tame mid range, built to last and feels good to hold in the hand, a joy to use IMO.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Lavender, nice masculine scent of lavender + excellent lather qualities. Lavender is top soap for me when it comes lather, it gives excellent protection.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic Sky" silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber, excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with Gem G bar with a coated Gem blade.

Yes, I like Balck Watch. Aroma is hard to describe. To me, it is similar to Jasmine & Civet by Grooming Dept with Jasmine sticking out, and then there is a mildly strong sweet aromatic that blends well with the Jasmine. Lathering was super easy, the razor glided with ease with post shave feel that was slick and smooth. Just like the other Spearhead Seaforth! soaps I have in my den. Tomorrow I will try Fleur de France.

The SMN shave cream has a glorious, Tobacco Toscana/menthol aroma. The lather is also outstanding.
The Barbasol is to shaving, what a Bugatti was to racing. Maybe not the fastest, but the best looking.
