    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Astra Green day 12
    De Vergulde Hand SS
    De Vergulde Hand ASB
    De Vergulde Hand AS Spray

This De Vergulde Hand soap, balm, and aftershave are Dutch and they’re too much - hey, I’m a poet - didn’t you know it? Seriously, this stuff has been around for over 450 years and although they’re so cheap in the Netherlands in my honest opinion they’re so good. The scent is amazing - it’s so classy and old school, the soap lathers very easily, you get lots of slickness, and it leaves a comfortable postshave feeling. The matching balm is so soothing as well as moisturizing, and although it doesn’t list menthol as an ingredient I feel a slight cooling effect from it. The matching aftershave spray is no longer available and it’s a pity because it smells so gorgeous just like the soap and balm. Three passes left me ultra BBS - another tip top shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Have a great Sunday - be well and safe![IMG]

The Old Spice Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That's a good approach Gary. Lately I've been taking away the guess work shaving one and bin....except the Polsilver I acquired from one of my good friends on this forum. :). The first blade I tried I got four awesome shaves out of it. I'm on my second blade, used it once the other day so I know it has at least three more in it.

Cold morning! Nice to have warm lather on a day like this. It's a day to do nothing! I am almost done with my wood. Gonna be windy today (gusts to 20mph). Washed my face and warmed it with HOT washcloth while I warmed the scupper mug and brush with HOT water. I did a 2-pass shave with no cleanup. If anything is left after 2 passes, it can be dealt with during the next shave. That seems to keep me from having irritation from too many passes. Ya gotta know when it's good enuff and when to quit. Alum bar gave zero feedback! No cuts, nicks, or weeper. I am smooth faced once again and ready for a relaxing day watching the snow blow around outside.

Sunday Schick shave, November 20, 2022

Razor : Schick injector E2, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930's-40's, excellent mid range, light weight 1 OZ, my favorite Schick mostly, it still demands a light touch when using injector blades. I'm testing the Subie stack of using 2 X 1/2 DE blades placed together in this razor. Results are good for trying something different. Some risk involved of cutting fingers and handling.
Blade : Modified Personna red 2 X 1/2 blade blades stacked together (6), sharp & smooth with excellent longevity. Very surprized shave results.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream- nice mild minty fresh scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi High mountain silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] excellent shave with my Personna red modified to fit the Schick E type injector. Not sure this method is for folks who have regular injector blades but it does work well IMO.

    Have some great shaves!
