    Menthol Monday:

Not really a Grand Freeze but still cold enough!

    L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Astra Green day 13
    Bundubeard Kudu’s Kick SS
    Prep ASB
    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

This morning I had to show my brother Jaco’s soaps some love so I selected his Kudu’s Kick and I’m happy that I did. It’s a glycerine based soap like most of the shaving soaps he produces and it has such a nice coffee/peppermint scent, the lather whips up so easily, it turns real thick, rich, quite slick as well as protective, there’s a pretty strong menthol sensation, and it’s very skin friendly. I really enjoyed my massage with the Prep when I finished shaving, and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave not only smells so gorgeous, it doesn’t lack menthol - is it ever cold. Another three pass BBS work of art - what a terrific shave I had!

Wishing y’all a great week - be well and safe![IMG]

    Quite the assortment of goodies!
I remember it used to be just a can of goo, a disposable, and some Brut aftershave, done, out the door.

For the first time in a very long time, I went away from a Russian St Pete’s Gillette blade. This Mostochlegmash (Rapira) was one of my early bulk purchases. Sharp, yes, but there are smoother out there. Maybe I’ll start a mini focus of neglected blades in the den.
    Have a great day all!

How do you like the shaves from your Empire? Some days I have great shaves with mine and others are not so smooth. Depends on which blade I use as I have the 7-day set and I've been to lazy to mark which blade is rough and needs to be honed a lot more than the others.

The shaves used to be a hit or miss. Out of the seven, I managed to put a good edge on two or three of them, and now only use one of the seven. I always run it thru a loaded strop block with a pick-up magnet and a little finger pressure. I'm not getting bbs shaves, but it's pretty cool using this steampunk-looking piece of machinery. :)

Sounds like your experience is the same as mine. I use a SRD paddle strop with .5 diamond spray but I really haven't put too much elbow grease into stropping the blades.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

Out of all the razors that I've re-acquainted myself with over the past few weeks the Baili BD177 & the Kanzy K100 have totally amazed me both are incredibly comfortable razors.

It's such a shame that the WS shave stick has now been discontinued as they are a joy to use...Another great shaving product that will be sadly missed. I'm fortunate to have a spare which will keep me going for a good while yet.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups close comfortable BBS shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of the RSC. PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
