Thanksgiving Day, 2022 Day 7 Arko~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~Cobra Classic/Feather Professional~~Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy After Shave While I can't say that the Arko is getting better with use, I can mos def© attest to the fact that my technique with the Cobra has much improved. Today's neck work was darn good, sans skipping and irritation. The handle, as I have stated, is beautiful to gaze upon, but wasn't thoroughly tested by the manufacturer, vis-a-vis slipperiness. I am reminded of my Wolfman with its Darwin handle. It's that slippery. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my TSD brethren.
Thanksgiving Still using the same gear, I completed Arko shave # 5 today. It was another two-passer with excellent results. I'm shaving about every other day, and that seems to work well. I face lather using the Arko as a shave stick. I think it will last forever. My Bride and I are celebrating Thanksgiving today at a State Park. The weather is beautiful, so we look forward to our outing. 2022 has been a good year, and we are thankful for much. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, Joseph. That's is a beautiful setup and a wonderful shave! Try placing an o-ring or wrapping a rubber band around the base of the Cobra handle to improve the grip. I have a Trac II handle that uses three o-rings. Works great.
good day gents.another simple work shave.fine arko face lather with a great brush.the drug store omega.smooth 2 passer with the brit flare tip ss/platinum combo.if i were to start my wetshaving over again, this set up would be more than adequate. the british flare tip is smooth and very efficient with the platinum blade, consistent and predictable.the arko is great old school soap, the scent smells like there's work to get on with,no nonsence.fine a/s caps it off.fantastic shave then on with the day.

Friday, November 25 Day 8 Arko~~Simpson~~Cobra Classic/Feather Professional~~Jerry Juice~~Vintage Aramis Havana The Arko has an amazing ability to renew itself over-night. My arm was tired after loading the soap: After the first pass: Dat's a lot o' suds!
Saturday, November 26 Arko~~Simpson~~Cobra Classic~~Jerry Juice Day 9 There's not a lot to add except the admiration I have for shavers who use the same gear daily. I am lathering like there is no tomorrow. Doesn't seem to be helping...
‘3017’ Day 11 No end in sight, but very enjoyable so far. A great scent and a slick lather. It has become harder than a few of my soaps, fwiw.
good morning gents, fine arko work shave, arko lather was slick, loads and builds easily with the dc tuxedo brush.smooth 2 passer with the tech/kcg combo.nice heavy all brass/nickel,sharp blade.#74 lime fragrance to finish.have a fine day gents.
In honor of you weirdos using Arko, I paused my use of Institut Karite Soap for a day and broke out the stick. Nice Shave 2 pass shave taking care of 5 days growth. RR Hawk V3A Schick Proline Semogue 26mm BC Mistura Arko Stick Alum Block Superior 70 Bay Rum
November 27 Arko Shave # 6 Gillette New SC Gillette Silver Blue DE blade (2) 30 Day Crew LE Poculi handle w/28 mm APShaveCo SynBad flat top knot Arko Vanicream Two passes with this world class setup easily clobbered three days of growth, resulting in a comfortable, near BBS mug. I skipped the post shave foo-foo regimen as we were late for church. Arko is a top-performing soap, and I'm quite happy with it. This stick should last for well over 100 shaves. I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
menthol monday brit rocket/kcg soc arko rr lime mentholated good morning gents. fabulous arko work shave smooth 2 passer with the rocket/kcg combo cold water rinse, extremely cold splash of heavily mentholated rr lime. awesome have a fine day everyone.
Monday, November 28 Day 11 Arko~~Simpson CH2~~Cobra Classic/Feather Professional Super~~Jerry Juice~~Tom Ford Tuscan Leather OK, I have come to the conclusion, that, while Arko creates a solid lather, it's not slick enough to protect my neck on the ATG pass. Admittedly, I have a sensitive neck---HOWEVER, I have been successful with my 2011 R41 on this pass, ergo--- it's the soap's fault. Picked up this TF gem for a very good price on basenotes and I couldn't be happier. Wonderful stank.
