Damn, do I ever LOVE Fernando’s stuff - his Frosted Bay Rum soap and aftershave are such treasures. They both have the most magnificent bay rum scent I ever experienced in my life, the soap’s tallow formula promotes such thick, rich, mega slick, protective lather, there’s enough menthol in it to give a polar bear pneumonia, and it’s so skin friendly, like all of Fernando’s products. The Prep gave me lots of additional soothing and moisturizing, while the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave went on icy cold along with its gorgeous scent which seems to pair very well with the Aramis. Three passes cleaned me up beautifully and gave me a wonderful BBS shave that was so much fun!

Pulled out another neglected blade tuck this morning. The Platinum Lux is perhaps not quite as sharp as one or two other Mostochlegmash blades, but it was just fine in Madame Barbasol.

Razor : Razorock Lubo.72 2nd Generation- Mfg 2021> mid range, well designed for clamping and getting under the nose area, machining and finish QC is top notch, very enjoyable shave this morning with good results.
Blade : Gillette Nacet (1) sharp & smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Speick stick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities + triple milled. Very good soap IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Chianti's" 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber, excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Nacet blade.

Continuing my blade trials with the Henson AL13.

Day 2 on the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade was satisfactory, but not as smooth or comfortable as day 1. However, I did use a different soap this time so maybe I should not draw too much of a conclusion about the blade alone. This was two day stubble.

Here my Shave of the Day (30.11.2022)


Razor: Weber // Blade: Gillette 7 o ´clock yellow // Soap: PAA Ciderhouse 5 // Brush: Shavemac 173 Synthetic // Aftershave: Southern Witchcrafts Pomona

This shave was a blast. The soap arrived on Saturday and i wanted it to try today. WHAT A SCENT!!! THE most complex scent i have ever noted on a PAA soap. Apples, wood, pipe smoke and a touch of wet leaves. This is a monster of complexity: Blended very very well. Well done PAA!!!

The Pomona Aftershave is an extremely good pairing with the soap. I love the Southern Witchcrafts Aftershave because it is so soothing, skin care is top notch and the scent last quite a bit. Lovely!!!

The Razor?! Weber…i love it. Smooth and gentle. With this blade this combo is a guarantee for a fantastic shave.

So…this has been the last shave for November…where has this month go? It went so fast…unbelievable. Tomorrow is the 1st of December, Christmas is coming. Are you already in mood for Christmas? I have 2 more weeks to work. 16.12. is my last working day and then i have two weeks off. Thank god. It has been the toughest year i can imagine for a very long time. Cannot wait for the two weeks off.
