Razor : Yaqi Katana DE single edge- Mfg 2019>, mid range, interesting simple design for clamping, you load the cap & then the base plate then slightly snug and bump the blade with the tuck to make sure it is seated and works every time. Works great and just a nice change up for my shaving razor routine I find. I get good results with riding the bar with a short handle.
Blade : Gillette 1/2 Astra SP(3) sharp & smooth with great longevity.
Soap : La Toja stick- very mild scent, great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle tips, nice splay scrubber, great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX with witch hazel, spray of RR XXX eDP+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Katana SE with a Astra SP 1/2 blade.

Face Lather.
Lather: Wilkinson Sword Soap Bowl.
Blade: Gillette Winner Stainless. (D2)
Razor: Parker 22R.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./ Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Nivea Men 2 Phase + P&G Old Spice Original ASL Mixture /Cien Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

An invigorating Sunday morning cold water shave.

The Winner stainless felt super smooth & efficient paired together with the 22R on it's second outing....I find that some DE blades especially stainless & teflon coated ones start show to their true potential on the second shave.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

My face is feeling cool, smooth & smelling divine.

I’m really loving this Canadian Tech that was sent to me by a very nice gentleman in this group and I find that with an Astra Green blade it works wonders even with my super tough beard. Fernando’s delightful Vintage Spice soap and aftershave are two precious treasures with the magnificent Shulton Old Spice scent - the soap lathers beautifully, thanks to the tallow formula it has such awesome slickness, and it’s so skin friendly just like ALL of his soaps. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it doesn’t ruin the scent and it works perfectly as a balm. Finally the Vintage Spice aftershave went on with that gorgeous Shulton Old Spice scent that lasts all day and because it’s witch hazel based there’s no burning or stinging from it. Three passes gave me such a terrific mega BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

The Proraso Red Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher and the C.V. Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Same shave today as yesterday, except I had a Stoylin brush("li'l brudder")out today. Another difference is I had two Knicks this morning, no cuts, no polka-dots. Perhaps a third difference is that my second pass was better than the first, in that it covered areas I missed going in. But I had the same result in the end-clean, fresh face and neck. Puros is a fine aftershave-tobacco in scent, but just enough to make it(the scent)pleasant. The Knicks are in the same location as yesterday's cuts were. These areas badly need some "skin food".But again, no pain. Super Duper Excellent.

My 3rd Advent Shave (11.12.2022)

A happy 3rd Advent to all of you


Razor: RazoRock Lupo SS .95 OC // Blade: Rotbart Extra Thin // Soap: Mike ´s Natural Soaps Peppermint & Rosemary // Brush: PAV Brushworks // Aftershave: L´OCCITANE Balm

First shave with my new Lupo .95 OC…and maaaaaaan, waht a good one. This razor is on the same level as the CC but against the grain a touch smoother. The blade matched well with the razor. It is absolutely not aggressive at all. When i got it right, the is less bladefeel than with the CC Head…which is strange, but hey…the shave was great.

Lathered up with one of my PAV Brushes. Virginia Sheng 24 mm Silvertip knot. Good lather, but i find it to be a better lather with one of my Synthetics. But i have not used a Silvertip in a while, so i think it was my fault. Think i have used too much water. Nevertheless that lather was quite good.

2 passes plus minor touch ups and i was ready to go. Fantastic.

At last the wonderful smelling Aftershave Balm, Skincare is over the top. And this scent….oh wow…heavenly. It was a fun shave.
