SE SOTD, Saturday, December 10th 2022 Razor : Yaqi Katana DE single edge- Mfg 2019>, mid range, interesting simple design for clamping, you load the cap & then the base plate then slightly snug and bump the blade with the tuck to make sure it is seated and works every time. Works great and just a nice change up for my shaving razor routine I find. I get good results with riding the bar with a short handle. Blade : Gillette 1/2 Astra SP(3) sharp & smooth with great longevity. Soap : La Toja stick- very mild scent, great lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle tips, nice splay scrubber, great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Razorock XXX with witch hazel, spray of RR XXX eDP+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Katana SE with a Astra SP 1/2 blade. Have some great shaves!

Sunday Schick shave, December 11th, 2022 Razor : Schick injector adjustable Model 3- Mfg 1970-72, excellent well built adjustable, one of my favorite Schick injector razors. This razor will also take any Schick made blades from Regular blades to Twin II blades + gives some adjustment to the shave. Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector (2) very sharp with excellent longevity. I have been experimenting with a blade hack lately. Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, nice scented soap(Aramis?) with excellent lather qualities. Nice soap, Yaqi commissioned Master Soap creations S.A. to make their soap & fragrance line products . Brush : Yaqi Moka express 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick injector adjustable M3 with a coated Personna injector blade. Have some great shaves!

SE SOTD, Tuesday, December 13th 2022 Razor : Schick injector adjustable model 3, Mfg 1970-72, excellent adjustable and built well enough to last with some care. The Schick adjustable will take all the different variants of blades that fit any Schick injector. They also take the AC 50mm blades also when modified to length. Have been experimenting with a simple blade hack to smooth the shave a little. Blade : Personna SS PTFE(3) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Soap : Razorock Fresco XXX, nice clean mild scent(mild mentholated) with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "casino clubs" 26mm timber wolf synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather generator. The 26mm synthetic brushes are impressive IMO. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(4.5) + ATG(4.5) + pickups(9setting). Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Excellent shave with my Schick M3 adjustable with a modified Personna injector blade. Have some great shaves!
