fabulous arko shave this morning.works well with the 74 blade,well any blade to be honest.top of the arko bowl smooth now but nowhere near going anywhere fast.will continue to use for work shaves until gone,though shifts have slowed to 2-3 a week after the christmas rush.no other soaps/creams/splashes anywhere near 3017 status..onward and forward..happy new year gents.
Day 2 for the splash 3017 This splash, while being as close to the Shulton original as anything, does seem to irritate my neck. I seem to recall that happening before. I certainly won’t use it everyday for weeks…I’ll come up with something else for next shave.
while i have tried to use the arko more frequently lately,there is no end in sight.still have many sticks left from the box of 12 purchased some time back.however..i have a puck of MWF that's begging to be used up and has been sitting dormant.it should be my next attempt for the new year.still nearly new per se.it's my next conquest.starting on Jan 2nd.

January 1, 2023 Blackland Tradere OC Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow Simnpson CH2 Synthetic Mithchell’s Wool Fat Small Batch Shave Tonic I general I have been sticking with one soap until I am done. This has been serving me well in reducing the shave soap supply. I also find it allows me to really get to know the soap. Of course this can be either a good thing or a bad thing. I have somewhere around 90 grams of soap in this container. I will just stick with it until it's gone. I reserve the right to change the hardware and aftershave as I desire.

January 2 Happy New Year, gentlemen! I completed Arko shave # 28 today. As I’ve adopted Primo’s FNL (fast’n loose) lathering method, I’m well into the second half of the shave stick. I have a bottle of Proraso aftershave balm and my supply of GSB blades on the ropes as well. On the road today but will post a photo sometime this week to show my progress. The pleasant surprise over the last few weeks has been that my Gillette Travel Tech paired with the Arko delivers a first-class two-pass shave. I passed along the bulk of my Arko, but I still have two full sticks in inventory. That should suffice in the event of an Arko supply chain disruption. Grace and Peace.
i will try for a month and see where it leads,3-4 shaves a week for work shaves,but i doubt it will be gone
