fair enough.a friend of mine loved wilkie blades and has used his short stash for years.mostly due to lack of replacements.until recently of course.he said with continuous stropping and technique he was able to make them last.he was of course very grateful when i handed him 2 new wilkie tucks and showed him where to find more.
The Rockwell 6C Gunmetal finally came in the mail yesterday but my joy was tempered because I had cataract surgery. Got the eye patch off mid-morning today and was told I was good to go for a shower, albeit with still limited vision in my one eye. It didn't take long for me to jump into the shower (okay, not jump literally ... more like slide slowly) and emerge to shave a 2-day beard with my new razor and a fresh Nacet blade. Loved the razor. I might bump it up to the #4 plate next time. It's nice to have options. But it's a sweet shaver!

That's what my 1907 travel Rubber set knot looked like too. I would say that one is from 1910-1915ish, based on the knot.
There was a few like the Simms, Rubberset, the butterscotch and the metal one that peaked my interest enough for me to put in an offer.
Yeah! To be honest i dont have a simpson brush so itll be my first. And considering i got it for a tub of soap, im fairly happy with that trade. Maybe one day i will find another tube and swap it out
