DE SOTD, Thursday, Jan 5th 2023 Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72, Mfg Jan 2021>, mid range, excellent machining and finish QC, great for under the nose nostrils area, excellent clamping of blade and just a nice razor to use first thing in the morning. Blade : Gillette silver blue (1) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity. Soap : Mitchell's wool fat, mild clean scent with great lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "mysterious space" 24mm silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow soft tips, excellent gentle splay scrubber + great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Razorock Blue barber with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a GSB blade. Have some great shaves!
For Friday-essentially the same as today, but for the brush, and an interesting choice given my Clubman/Barbershop arsenal; Brush-T\he Clubman-Pinaud.

Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M Adjustable and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger After Shave. Friday morning: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Goodfella 3 Piece/Astra Green day 14 Bundubeard On The Berg SS Aveeno Moisturizer Booster Mosswood AS Splash Aramis EdT It was a fluke that I was able to get as smooth as I did because the Astra Green really dulled out a lot and I had to struggle a lot. To cut my tough stubble I need a good, sharp blade and as a rule these Astra Greens are perfect for me but after two weeks they have to be changed. My brother Jaco in Pretoria, South Africa makes terrific soaps - his On The Berg has a very nice, sweet scent with outdoorsy notes, I believe it’s tallow based so the lather works up so thick, rich, and really slick, and it’s very skin friendly. The Aveeno moisturizer works so well as a balm and it’s unscented so it can’t disrupt any aftershave or fragrance that you use. The Booster Mosswood is another Canadian barbershop classic - do I ever love the scent. Finally a little Aramis and I’m good to go.
