    It's one of the few razors that I would actively try to replace if something happened to it.

    Though I would probably try to replace it with an actual No. 15 open comb. Rhodium is far more durable than even triple silver plate.

    Today I received a 1960s Distler battery op electric shaver (W. Germany) that my folks picked up somewhere. It still works and shaves pretty well.

    My Simpson Major came in. And it looks good and as stated the threads are stripped. I quickly tried using electrical tape to see if that helps and it does. So there may be a permanent fix…

    I was thinking about this the other day, and you could probably make a permanent fix by using JB weld or a quick set epoxy. Maybe wrapping cling film/Saran wrap or tape around the threads to protect the brush while the epoxy sets?

    A complete set of advertising pen/pencil samples (a salesman's set) was given to me yesterday by Mom. They accumulated stuff over the years I had no clue about.

    Monday’s mail call is 2 fold. First is 2 nearly full vintage Aqua Velva Ice Blue stack of money decanters from, I believe, 1986 or 1988. Second is a 1956 Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed with matching case and blade dispenser. FF837BAF-9646-4857-A804-4F58E615751B.jpeg

    What a coincidence! I shaved with my vintage shave stick yesterday. De Vergulde Hand is a pretty decent shave soap, but a bit drying on the face, post shave. It's a solid performer.
