Pulled out the MonoBilt…was inspired by the Maestro. Not even the awesome Cooper can turn the Ladas into a nice blade.

Charlie, if you don't look like a clone of me, my name ain't Paul. You do, so it is. :)

Charlie, is this the beginning of your long travel adventure? Or did they come to Kentucky?

Thanks Paul. If I ever show up in your hometown and somehow manage to keep my mouth shut, the Mayor will no doubt award me with the Key To The City. I'll be sure to steer clear of the Piggy Wiggly for my personal safety. :D
Joseph, I, and our beautiful Brides met for lunch at very cool pizzeria/pub. We live a couple hours from each other, so we found a nice halfway point. We had a great time and plan to meet again sometime.

Well I guess I got it half right then...they "came to Kentucky" to see you(chuk yuk yuk). Course I presume they live there, too.

Rare, scuttle-shave today. This piece of pottery was thrown by my niece.
The lather held up well to the warmth, as opposed to soaps like MWF, which'll dissolve before your eyes.
Gillette Silver Blue razor blades have some serious glue dots. :angry019:

I'm sure she was just having a bad day, Joseph. You know, anger management counseling is reported to be quite effective. At least the scuttle didn't break, and hopefully you got to finish your shave first.
Thanks for steadfastly leading the charge against glue dots on blades, soap granules, dark boar brush hairs, and Oudless (useless) frags. By the way, we never heard of any such problems when you were shaving with Arko. :lyrtuy5:

La Savonnière du Moulin~~Simpson PL8~~Gem MMOC/Gem~~West Indies Bay Rum
The rare "morning" shave since returning to a 40 Hour work week.
    Today, all-staff training at 8am (8 AM!! :happy093:),
afforded me the opportunity to shave before work.
The Ass Milk soap is retreating nicely and might...maybe...perhaps will be 3017'd by the end of January.
This Bay Rum is, as I have espoused previously, a "lighter" version of Dominica. (read: weaker)
However, the scent is exactly to my tastes.
    Great shave with the Gem.

The D01 Flat Top is an acquired taste for sure. I snagged this one on the Against The Grain group buy.

Back to work this morning. I am working remotely before going to a client site later this morning. Everything played well together to deliver another wonderful shave to start the day. I hope everyone as a wonderful Monday.

I was going to say something about your "Oudless(useless"), but a quick double-check of the spelling of both words blew that baby right out of the water,

I have never owned a true "Flattop". Closest thing was a Fan knot from Scott at DG. It was a terrific B5 I had transplanted into that disaster of a SE, the Thäter Beehive Boar. The handle was outstanding, but the knot was unusable. Regrettably, I sold it. That's one of a few, I wish I had back. I am starting a new thread.

I’ve been working through some ‘neglected’ blades to spice up my last two 3017 projects. This was the last day of that. Many have hit that drawer for various reasons. I’ve noticed (after several years) that there are very few that are unusable, but some that I just don’t enjoy. The Ladas from today is in that category.
