The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap lathered well with the SlimGem Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE Injector and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

A good shave but I'm not bonding with this blade. It just seems harsh to me, not smooth. It delivers a close enough shave but ...

Razor : Ever-Ready Streamline, 2nd generation- Mfg 1949-53, upper mid range, well built and it is eye candy to myself, it was one of the high end Ever-Ready razors they built. excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Classic, nice cherry almond scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia"22mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, excellent splay scrubber, great lather painter. Small handle might not be for large hands + great knot and one of my favorite badger brushes to use .
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + slight irritation + no weepers=[IMG] excellent shave on my Ever-Ready streamline razor with a coated Gem blade. I toss the Gem blade after 10 uses regardless how well it is cutting because I averaged this blade years ago and this one needed to be tossed.

Showering and shaving are both challenging right now. My surgical scar is still healing and after 2 weeks in the hospital, I am very weak.
So I gave my legs once-over with the electric. Not BBS, but tolerable.
Biggest issue in the shower is keeping bandages dry. I achieved this with some Glad Press N Seal wrap. I put it over the bandaged area & taped it into place. Bandages stayed completely dry.

    Saturday Shave

    Lather: home blend melt-and-pour soap
Brush: Bethlehem olive wood handle, H.I.S. synthetic knot
    Razor: Henson AL13 +
    Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Post: witch hazel with added aloe and glycerin
    Cold water shave :Animatedfrozensmily:

It's been a while since I did a shave with my home blend melt-and-pour soap. I had fun back when I was experimenting and trying different blends. Today's shave was pretty good. It takes a bit of work to get the best lather from the melt-and-pour soap, and at its best, it still is not quite as good as a quality artisan soap. Still fun to DIY!

I got the olivewood brush handle several years ago through eBay from a shop in Bethlehem. It was finished with a thin layer of varnish that began to peel almost immediately. I sanded the surface down to the wood and put on some varnish meant for gun stocks, which I hoped would hold up over time. It hasn't, but the brush has a nice shape and the knot is excellent.

    Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl : Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.

Cold water Face Wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Gillette Blue ASL./Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

A very in-expensive eclectic shave set up where everything paired together wonderfully.

The RK Stainless felt super smooth & efficient on it's second outing....I may have mentioned before i find that some DE blades especially stainless & teflon coated ones start showing their true potential after a few shaves... This seems to be the case with the RK Stainless.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfortable shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay Safe, and enjoy your Sunday Ladies & Gentlemen.

    Hi Friends,

    Here my today´s shave (29.01.2023)

    C21C83ED-3DD9-4B5C-82C1-DCBBD06DB46A.jpeg
Razor: Edwin Jagger 3one6 // Blade: Gillette Wilkinson India (1) // Soap: SV Felce Aromatica // Brush: Omega // Aftershave: D.R.Harris Arlington Milk

Second shave with the 3one6…man is this razor efficient.I thought my Lupo SS .95 was the most efficient razor i have, but the 3one6 just topped it. BBS in 2 passes, but again with little bloodspots here and there. That seems the price to pay i guess. Never had any bloodspots with my Lupo .95

So, the razor leaves me this week and goes back to it´s owner. I am thankful having the option to try this razor. The two shaves i had with it were very good but the last spark is missing. It is a great razor but it is not that „heart touching“ as my Lupo.95

Soap and Aftershave are top notch. The Milk provides excellent skincare and has a very elegant scent. I should use this stuff more often.

So, this is it for now.

Take your time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Sunday morning:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Astra Green day 12
    Scheermonnik Soek SS
    Aveeno Moisturizer
    Proraso Red AS Splash
    Fahrenheit EdT

My second time using this Soek soap from Scheermonnik which is a Dutch artisan company and I think it’s absolutely awesome. The soap is not tallow based but it’s still a great latherer - very thick, rich, cushiony, and slick, the scent is so beautiful - it’s hard to describe but it seems to have an exotic note to it, and it’s excellent in the skincare department. The Aveeno moisturizer works so well as a balm, it’s unscented so it can’t screw up the scent of any aftershave or fragrance. The Proraso Red aftershave smells absolutely gorgeous, and after a two second stinging sensation it feels so comfortable on my skin - its scent moves out of the way of the Fahrenheit eau de toilette which was a gift from my lovely sister-in-law. Another super duper easy peasy three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

Enjoy your Sunday - be well and stay safe![IMG]
