RRR. It's the big Tollywood flick. Good movie, 3 hours long. If there were Oscars for over-acting, it would win them.
I watched the original Top Gun in 1986 with my brother at a drive in (great memories) and worried that this would disappoint ............ Far from it, this is a great movie, I may even buy it as a set.
A light-hearted riff on Sherlock Holmes, probably aimed for 15 year olds. I enjoyed it, but my wife got impatient with it and had to get up and do something else.
Here is another show inspired by Sherlock Holmes, it is actually a French TV series, shown on PBS with English subtitles. Astrid has Asperger's syndrome, but she is able to function in society and has a job in the police crime library. She remembers every detail of every crime file she has seen and works out patterns and connections to help the police solve difficult cases. Something like the TV show "Monk", but not as light or silly. The show is called "Astrid et Raphaƫlle" on French TV. Raphaƫlle is the police investigator that befriends Astrid and works with her. Only the first season is available with subtitles currently, but there is hope for more. We liked this show a lot.
Historical fiction thriller about Neville Chamberlain's negotiations with Hitler on the eve of the war.
War time thriller based on a true story. If you watch many British shows, you have noticed how often you see the same actors. This one has many familiar faces, as well. In a fun coincidence, the two lead stars, Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen, are both known for playing the same role previously: Mr. Darcy in film versions of "Pride and Prejudice". Colin Firth played the role in 1995 and Matthew Macfadyen in 2005.
