Not an "As Outstanding As It Gets" shave, but I am satisfied. Zero cuts, Knicks,and polka-dots...course THAT is good news. Nice work at Cheeks&Sideburns. Right side of North Porcupine Alley could be better-it will be tomorrow. Ditto parts of Cactus Nation...yeah I know....will be better tommorow.South Porcupine checked in as nicely done. 2 passes. I should have slapped on more Stephan B.R. aftershave. I'm working on a routine to improve my soap administration(to face and neck). My February focus is to make a habit out of this. Same grade as yesterday=Super Duper Outstanding....two down from top dog.

Thank you, Joe. Yes one is the 39c ' The Sledgehammer" it's smaller sibling the 37c and the Parker 55SL Semi-Slant which is slightly milder in aggression to my Merkur's probably due to the less slant angle bar, but gives a comfortable close shave.

I am still alive and kickin'! I just stopped posting my shaves for now. It has become routine and I often let the face go for 3-4 days before shaving. I also for-go the full routine and simply pre-heat my soap and then apply directly to my face with a brush without the pre-shave.

I just brought in enuff wood to fill my wood ring for the cold spell coming tonight and tomorrow. I will need a fire going when I bath Theo again....soon. It has been a month already. He is at full fluffiness now and will soon start to shed.

Hey Gary, @Primotenore has talked me into trying a "3017." I'll work on it when I get to it, which will be in a few days. He suggested I do the one that has the least amount of soap. It's going to be the one you sent me-Simpsons(1912). One advantsge of that one is it appears I can try any aftershave to go along with it. This will be hard for me, as I don't like to go for more than 3 shaves with the same soap.

The shave went well. Did a rare 3 pass shave because I am trying to deep-six this soap. I got a nice, comfortable shave with no alum feedback. Oh yes, I didn't shed any blood. Lol! Take care.
