Post: Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / Gummy Traditional Turkish Tobacco Cologne. / Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel. Greetings, Early morning Shave, Every traditional wet shaver should experience shaving with a slant bar razor. I for one was very hesitant about purchasing one, thinking you had to master a entirely different shaving method, because of the slant angle, how stupidly mistaken i was, on my maiden shave with both the 37c & it's bigger sister the 39c became a instant joy to shave with. An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel. Tuesday morning: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Rapira day 7 Captain Nemo Shepherd SS Aveeno Moisturizer Hega AS Splash Fahrenheit EdT These Captain Nemo soaps from India are really nice - my friend Abir sure knows what he’s doing. His Shepherd soap comes in two formulations and this one contains lavender essential oil which gives it a very pleasant scent. Unfortunately tallow cannot be used in India because of what I would say are laws concerning the Hindu religion but the lather of this soap is excellent and it gives lots of slickness as well as protection against dryness. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it works great as a balm, and the Hega aftershave from Sweden has a neutral scent so it doesn’t clash with any fragrance, and it gives a nice cool feeling. DE SOTD, Tuesday February 7th 2023 Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- Mfg 2021>, mid range, excellent design & machining QC, easy for under the nose area and a joy to use. Excellent close shave this morning. Blade : Gillette 7 oClock SP (1) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier for myself! Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice Vanilla light tobacco scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" named from the famous Spanish Cathedral, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette SP blade. Have some great shaves!
Gillette ‘58 D2 Tech, Stando Svarga Handle / Nacet / Oumo 28mm SILK/Manchuria / DG Fake Yellow Light Shave Soap & AS This post-war tech is the mildest razor I own. The heavy brass handle adds a little muscle.
Preshave: Hot shower Soap: Cremo Original Blade: Perma-Sharp Razor: Rockwell 6C (R2 plate) Post shave: Gillette Gel First time using the Perma-Sharp and, wow, was I impressed even with the Rockwell on a very mild setting. Still got a great shave, albeit not the closest one ever. And Cremo is so slick and good.
