  3. Shave went fine today. My only change was I used a different lather bowl.
Why is it that I have lost all my hair on top and now have to constantly trim eyebrow hairs, nose hairs, and hairs in my ears?
  4. I let my barberette do my eyebrows and ear hair, while I do my nose hairs. But the answer is, like us, they GROW on us.
  5. Excellent post and shave Barry. Enjoy your afternoon. :)

    Shavette Shave # 192 - 3017 Project - Weekdays - Prarie Song

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Parker SRX
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket 26 mm
Lather: Lakewood Soap Company Prairie Song
    Aftershave: Halston Z - 14
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
Lakewood Soap Company Prairie Song Balm
The Gales of November are calling on Lake Superior for the Prarie Song. Only four shaves left with this soap. The Edmund Fitzgerald is slated for next Thursday at the latest.

I decided to check out Fragrantica for the scent notes on the Halston Z-14 as I thought it might pair well with the Prarie Song.

The Prarie Song has some similar scent notes most notably lemon, leather and the Earthiness of sage and Vetiver.

As I was pairing the two I came to the realization that I had paired the Prairie Song with another aftershave recently that apparently is very similar to the Halston. That aftershave would be Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux Petite Prairie. The scent profile for this aftershave is as follows: “vetiver, citrus, geranium, carnation, pineapple, rhubarb, rosemary and Sichuan pepper.”

With the pending sinking of this soap, I will have at least two options that will pair nicely with the Prairie Song balm and a mild scented soap such as Proraso, MWF, Arko, Palmolive etc.

Since I have been a bit long winded I will just say that the shave with the shavette was absolutely fantastic.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

  16. I am uncertain. I like Cryogen very much, but I have the TSD M bomb to add menthol to my non-mentholated soaps. The only downside with Cryogen is that I get less shaves with it than other soaps of similar weight. Down the road, I may try a Glacial Stirling Soap or some other brand with menthol, such as Barrister and Mann's Artique.

    Timeless Razor ALSB45 aluminum razor.
    Feather blade (3).
    Razorock 400 Plissoft synthetic brush.
    Razorock P160 shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger.

Excellent shave this morning. The ALSB45 is a fine machine!

    Happy Thursday everyone!
  20. I would never have Mr. Warlock soap in my den due to my Christian beliefs. Wet the Face Fusion is a possibility, but I would prefer buying one of Don's scented soaps.
