For detailed instructions, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to "Primo" care of The Shave Den, USA. Darn fine shave with the Pipe razor, until it bit my right cheek. Must've been honed on a convex stone. Nevertheless, end results were more than satisfactory. The West Indies Bay Rum was applied liberally for a ethereal, olfactory experience.
Oh, there will indeed be another time. As I said, I'll do 2 or 3 more shaves with Simpsoms which should be the end, or I'll flip it anyway. There's another soap close to the end, as well. But I just missed my other "friends".
Mr. Cawtuh!!! I felt I shouldn't call him that where he now "lurks", as everyone would jump in and say his name is Bill. I miss him here too.
February 12, 2023 Tatara Muramasa Feather Tatara/Semogue Boar Mithchell’s Wool Fat Myrsol Agua Balsamica I did shave this morning but forgot to post. Another excellent drama free shave. The Agua Balsamica just smells fantastic.
Monday, February 13 Day Twelve T+S Kyoto~~CH2 Synthetic~~Cooper MonoBilt/Gillette Silver Blue~~YSL Kouros Cologne Sport This soap refuses to give up the ghost. But, at least it is some pretty fabulous lather. LOVE the MonoBilt. Grip is grippy and the blade exposure is sufficient for efficient stubble removal. New stank, which was tossed in an Ebay purchase. Nice juice.
Day 11 & 12 Yesterday and Today The soap is dialed in and has been great. As has the long-neglected E3. The splash is now the last of my CL products, and is my fave scent of theirs.
Tuesday, February 14 Day Thirteen T+S Kyoto~~Semogue 2012 SE "Mistura"~~Fatip Lo Storto Originale/Gillette Silver Blue~~YSL M7 ASB Excellent lather, but a weirdly, rough neck shave with the brand new Silver Blue The Fatip has a large amount of "blade feel". Could be my angle was too steep. I'll try it again tomorrow. If I play my cards right, I'll titanic this soap before next Monday. If not...who knows when? YSL M7 After Shave Balm. Vintage.
I know I’m probably in the minority in this, Joseph, but GSBs are the one Russian Gillette blade that I find to be very inconsistent. Some are great, some aren’t. Even one side to the other.
Wednesday, February 15 Day Fourteen T+S Kyoto~~CH2 Synthetic~~Fatip Lo Storto/Silver Blue~~Invictus Aqua New Silver Blue in the Fatip. Rough and uncomfortable on the neck. Look out for a new PIF. I smell... delicious.
Day 14 Aside from the 3017 of this soap, I’ve also been focussing on going through my SEs. The Yaqi Katana has been neglected for well over a year. Using it the past few days has led me to a conclusion…I just don’t like it. I want to like it as I have nothing else like it, but nope. Buh Bye.
