    Sheraton

This is my Sheraton. I picked it up at an antique store for $5.00. I'm not sure how rare it is, but I haven't seen many on the forums.

Lets put it this way.. I keep it cause its cool.. Seriously I think it is the most useless shaver I have.. One good thing though.. You dont cut yourself that much.. The blade exposure is nil.. Zero.. Nada.. Reminds a lot of the Dorco razor I have.. Its also useless..

But it do look kinda cool..

I have never seen one like this that I got as a gift from my brother. He was nosing around a Goodwill store and saw this. He knows that I am a freak on shave stuff and immediately thought of me.

It doubles as a terrific hand filler when you want to punch someone. :D

As a side note, this thread was resurrected today after 17 months of inactivity. I wonder what the zombie thread record is?

Not that it matters. I don't have anything extraordinarily rare, and have already put up photos of the less common ones, but here are a couple of others. Burham SE razor, and Bigelow Parkin DE folding razor. Patented in 1909 and 1921 respectively.

With just recently getting into wet-shaving one benefit I've gained that I wasn't expecting is that I now won't be so bored when my wife wants to hit the antique malls. I never had anything that I wanted to look for before. Now I can hunt down some rare safety razors.:happy023

These two are currently the rarest razors I own.

This is my 1908 "Signature" Single Ring. So far, I have only been able to track down five others. It seems that a very small number of these were made. How many? I don't yet know.

And this is my 1904 Gillette Double Ring marked PAT. APL'D FOR on the handle. It didn't come in a case, unfortunately. The serial number is 10190.

It looks like a Krona, but it's an adjustable (the numbers disappear when it's open). No branding, patent numbers or country of origin. Nobody's been able to identify it yet, so I guess it's pretty rare. Or it's just garbage.

Since none of the major collectors around the world have ever seen this, and therefore can't identify it as to an official name for it from Gillette, this has to be my rarest... the razor looks like the common 4-piece old type from the era but the case is stumping everyone... the gold ball-end old type is in the photo for size comparison. Since no one has ever seen this set before, I guess I have the honor of naming it and have dubbed it the 1920s "leather traveler".

I am not sure if either of these are rare but my two razors I don't see very often on forums are my 1922 Gillette tuckaway and my 1920s Genco Vanadium with original faux tortoise scales. I've seen other Gencos on SRP but never the vanadium.

The Ugly Duckling, a brandless thingy that performs great! A reminder that appearances do deceive sometimes (hence the nickname)
Nothing fancy at all, but since it is brandless (thus certainly not widly known) I guess it might be rare :)
