I'm fortunate enough that my office at work has all the tools needed to make it. I've utilize my breaks to build small items like this.
Seller had listed this as a Soviet shaving brush, but I know that's not the case (I think it might be one of the Simpson 50's series). I made an offer and seller accepted. I was only interested in the Williams shaving soap container, but a fellow member is interested in the case and brush, so I'm willing to split it with him when he's ready.
Another vintage hand painted ceramic shaving soap bowl for my collection. Hopefully this one will hold a D.R. Harris Lavender Shaving Soap refill.
I've got a complete woodshop. Time, on the other hand, is at a premium. Not shaving related, but... Got a Motor Sich (Ukrainian) cream separator on the way at a bargain price. Maybe someday I'll try my hand at making goat milk shave soap.
I would have preferred vintage, but got voted down. When I asked if they preferred the wooden butter churns or the hand crank ones with jars, I was politely reminded that we have a kitchen-aid, which will work just as well.
I saw this ......... and the seller made a sweet offer. A nice group of shaving items though not traditionally found together, but I really found this brush interesting. Initially I thought it was a date, but as I looked at it I started to doubt it. Actually quite a nice badger brush.
