Vintage April, 2023 + SE SOTD, Saturday, April 8th 2023

Razor : Ever- Ready 1924 (AKA- Shovel head)- Mfg 1924- 33, mid range, Interesting design that makes a person install the blade from the rear, I used a RIGS shim to smooth out the shave a little, blade splines where thicker in this time era. The shim is placed under the modern blade spline to give it the tilt it was designed for IMO. Very enjoyable close shave this morning with no issues at all. This razor was designed to last with a little care and works excellent.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : La Toja stick, mild scent, with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm Silver tip(3 band) badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury pillow like soft tips, very nice gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Ever- Ready 1924 SE with a Gem coated blade.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Fine Fresh Vetiver Classic Shaving Soap.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2)
Razor: Merkur 34C.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Cien Men Aqua ASL/ Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

It's been a while since last added the fine fresh vetiver soap to my soap rotation and forgot how good of a lather this soap gives in a short space of time.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

This morning I was in the mood to smell the beautiful Shulton Old Spice scent and this Vintage Spice soap and aftershave made by my brother Fernando are both a perfect substitute. The soap’s tallow formula gives such MAGNIFICENT lather that’s so thick, rich, creamy, slick, and stable as well as great soothing. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it’s perfect for sensitive skin, and the Vintage Spice aftershave is witch hazel based so it never stings or burns and its delightful scent lasts almost all day. Three passes gave me a most delightful BBS shave - what a pleasure it was!

The Cella Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher and a Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Schick adjustable injector M3- Mfg 1970-72, all aggression ranges, excellent design, will last generations with a little care, finding the sweet spot angle is easy, recommend using a shallow approach, todays shave was great with no issues.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector(5) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap : La Toja stick, mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Robin" 24mm boar bristle brush, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle tips, decent splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(3) + ATG(3) + pickups(3 setting).
Post shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Great shave with my Schick adjustable injector with a coated Personna blade.
