While away at the Weekend I tested out this Cart as a Travel Razor, and the Shave was very good. As I unpacked I thought why not do a repeat, and had another quality Shave. Never thought I would be extolling a Cart Razor, but it is a Schick from the 70’s.

I've used the same setup for a few weeks, and everything works perfectly together. A noticeable depression in the puck has formed after 20 consecutive shaves, but plenty of soap remains. I'm half-way through the Isa Knox aftershave. I use it morning and evening, so it will finish up in short order.

Bowl : Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Monsavon Au Lait Shaving Soap.

Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Brut Attraction Totale ASL./Aloe vera Gel.

Early morning Shave,

The Monsavon Au Lait as always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave leaving an excellent post shave feel.

Another close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Do I ever love this Godrej Menthol cream - in my honest and unbiased opinion it’s one of India’s finest. It was reformulated so it has a different scent which is more soapy and clean, the lather works up thicker, richer, as well as slicker, the menthol sensation is bloody strong, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Prep needs no explanation or description because it’s so wonderful as a balm, and the Alt Innsbruck smells so delightful - not only that, it’s loaded with menthol. Three passes cleaned me up beautifully - what a dynamite BBS shave this was!

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Rolls Traveler Razor and a 1953 Rolls Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Thanks. It's not quite as cold as Snake Bite, but it's still pretty darn cold. And the Alcolado Glacial is no match for Snake Bite AS.

Razor :Yaqi Mellon head polished, 2nd generation(V2) 316L SS with a Yaqi Teardrop SS polished handle Cannon looking handle- Mfg 2023>, mid range, very well made Double open comb with excellent machining and finish QC, inside of top cap is just machine finish & is adequate for my shaving needs. Had a stellar close shave this morning with no issues so I start the day off great.
Blade : Personna red(3) sharp & smoooth with excellent longevity. Good combination with this razor head today!
Soap : Speick stick- nice mild spicy scent with some of best lather qualities of a soap I have ever used.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle knot, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, excellent splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very good boar brush IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda splash with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Mellon head 316 SS with a Personna red.
