Sunday Schick Shave, April 9th 2023 Razor : Schick adjustable injector M3- Mfg 1970-72, all aggression ranges, excellent design, will last generations with a little care, finding the sweet spot angle is easy, recommend using a shallow approach, todays shave was great with no issues. Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector(5) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable. Soap : La Toja stick, mild scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "Robin" 24mm boar bristle brush, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle tips, decent splay scrubber + great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(3) + ATG(3) + pickups(3 setting). Post shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Great shave with my Schick adjustable injector with a coated Personna blade. Have some great shaves!

Hey Ron! How'd you use the La Toja stick to get such a great lather in a bowl? I usually wipe the La Toja around my face like a giant Chapstick tube, then use a warm, wet brush to work up a nice face-lather, then shave. I never imagined using a STICK to work up lather in a BOWL! What is this mystical, arcane, crazy new science? How'd you do that? - Bax
Sticks are great. I just rub it on the face and build the lather right on the face. NO BOWLS NEEDED. I also just rub a shave puck on the face and build lather.
I enjoy it that way, all I do is cut some slivers off the stick with my pocket knife and press them in the bottom of the bowl. Usually I get 2 lathering's with all my soaps and enjoy them that way and on to the next in rotation soap.

The 1912 model was the most successful Gem ever produced and they sold millions of them. Had a excellent shave this morning. Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle. Soap : Speick stick, nice mild spiced scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "red Zebra" 26mm snow Leopard knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, Gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite 26mm synthetic brushes, every thing is great from handle to knot. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem 1912 OC with a coated Gem blade. Have some great shaves!
