    I've thought about making my own. But I like old stuff too. If I made my own, then I wouldn't have a reason to buy it, wouldn't I?

    My wife is jealous of my time. $15 vs. 2 or 3 hours "puttering about." I'll spend the money. Stones boxes, on the other hand, tend to be custom fit sort of things, and are worth a bit of time invested.

    Seller had listed this as a Soviet shaving brush, but I know that's not the case (I think it might be one of the Simpson 50's series). I made an offer and seller accepted.

    I was only interested in the Williams shaving soap container, but a fellow member is interested in the case and brush, so I'm willing to split it with him when he's ready.

    Got a Motor Sich (Ukrainian) cream separator on the way at a bargain price. Maybe someday I'll try my hand at making goat milk shave soap.
