Third shave with this Latvian made razor . With a proper finishing edge on it, I can now say it is a great looking as well as a fantastic shaving razor. The blade cut through, like there wasn't a whisker there. I had to do a feel test after a couple of strokes, just to make sure it was cutting. It was just as smooth ATG as it was WTG. Two pass shave, left me with a BDBS face. The Escher Thuringian Stone made this blade.

Face Lather.
Lather: Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Denim Original ASL./ Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

Early morning Shave,

It's been a while since I last used the inexpensive Wilkinson Sword Classic razor which for me is always a pleasure to shave with.

The two-piece design of the razor makes it easy to load the blade, covering the full blade with no exposure of the blade edges a brilliant safety feature especially for shaving sensitive areas without the risk of getting Cuts & nicks from the blade ends which was a great bonus for me when I first introduced myself to the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving.

The Blade gap is considerably smaller than the newer sibling the WS premium TTO model, but it still gives an acceptable presentable shave. Paired together with the GWS(Saloon Pack) made a smooth efficient duo....A great inexpensive razor that will always be part of my razor rotation.

The WS shave stick is a wonderful shave stick it's surprising how much of a good lather you get from this humble shave stick.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick-ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Tom's Tourqued Slant Razor and a Gillette Nacet Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I agree with you about the Wilkinson stick - it’s fantastic. Every bit as good as the Palmolive stick that’s no longer available.

One thing I must say is that this Canadian Tech is a mild razor but is it ever fantastic - it works so well in spite of my tough beard stubble. The Retro Barbershop soap has such a beautiful old school barbershop scent, it’s vegan based but it’s chock full of awesome lather that’s full of slickness, and it’s so skin friendly. My dear friend Abir Laskar in Kolkata, India is the owner of Captain Nemo and he’s the creator of this treasure - what a great artisan he is and what a nice guy he is. The Aveeno moisturizer works so well as a balm and I love the old school scent of the Brut. Three passes gave me a tip top BBS shave that was a delight from start to finish!

Thank you...The Wilkinson stick are fantastic. As for the Palmolive stick it's my all time favourite shaving soap...Before the decline of the Palmolive Classic Stick i purchased enough to last me for a few years, I recently seen on eBay some charging £47.94p/ $59.82c..This is just sheer greed & extortion. Before the decline of them you could buy them in the UK for 50p/£1. - 62c-$1.25c per stick. The same can be seen with Williams mug soap x2 pucks £47.72p/$59.52c.

For the month of May I decided to go with one razor and one soap. I had been thinking about using my slant for this month but yesterday as I was out and about, I came across a pack of Bic Metal razors. I have never used them and this was the first time I recall ever seeing them in a brick and mortar store. And I thought to myself, “There is your razor for May.” I have to travel for a few days later this month so this will work perfectly for that. The Bic Metal gives a decent, comfortable shave. My goal for this month is to shave with it until it gets uncomfortable and then pull out a new one (I got a 5-pack). The soap will be Proraso blue cream and I’ll use my copper shaving dish that I found on Etsy. Only my brush and post shave routine will vary.
For today:
Brush: dS Cosmetics 26 mm synthetic
Post shave: Alum block followed with Stirling Sharp Dressed Man and the remaining cream in the brush for a balm.
