ASRazor SOTD, Thursday, May 11th, 2023 Razor : Ever-Ready streamline, 2nd Generation, 1949-53, upper mid range, well built and designed to last + eye candy to myself for a ASR razor. I like to use this razor when blade count is close to 7-10 uses. It takes a few shaves to master this razor but it delivers a nice shave. I did not care to use this razor when learning it and know I enjoy it more, go figure! I use a RIGS shim underneath the modern spline area because it smooths out the shave nicely. Excellent shave this morning with no issues. Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle. Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice scent (Aramis?) with excellent lather qualities, Yaqi commissioned Master Soap Creations S.A for their soap and fragrance line of products. One of my favourite scents and soaps to use . Brush : Yaqi "Casino Clubs" 26mm Husky knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Ever-Ready Streamline SE razor with a Gem coated blade. Have some great shaves!
That blade adaptor looks like it's made of brass. I have some made of modified vintage blades. Is that what yours is or did you custom make one out of brass?

SE SOTD, Friday, May 12th, 2023 Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC- Mfg 2021 with a Yaqi Milano SS handle>, mild to tame mid range, simple blade clamping system, small head parts, very affordable. I enjoy this razor and had a close comfortable shave this morning. Blade : Schick Proline p30 50mm (4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Good match for this razor. Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, nice lavender with a slight mint twist with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi" barber pole" 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. This brush is a great brush for general shaving needs IMO. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Sunday Schick shave, May 14th 2023 Razor : Schick E2 type injector, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930s-40's, mid range, 1 OZ weight, excellent design and built to last with a little care. This razor was salvaged from Antique store that was in rough shape and with a little care brought it back to life about 5 years ago. One of the better razors Schick produced and had a excellent shave this morning. A person still has to use a light touch for great results. Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector (6) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream, very nice rose scent + not over whelming IMO with excellent lather qualities. 5 uses later I really enjoy this new addition to the shave den. Brush : Yaqi "Aqua" 24 mm high mountain 3 band silvertip, Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. There was a little scritch when new and it has mostly disappeared making it a very enjoyable brush when soaked for 2> minutes. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
