Prep = Usual Preshave with Proraso Green mild menthol.
Soap = Stirling Executive man, trying this another day. Bowl Lathering and painting.
Brush = Simpson’s Chubby 2. Seems to hold onto the lather a lot more than the smaller 24 mm knot from yesterday.
Razor = Razorock Lupo, swapping over to the heavier handle it came with.
Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock Super Stainless (3) and binned
3 Passes with touch ups.
Post: Warm water rinse, cold water rinse, alum was silent, Thayers, Proraso Rinfrescante ASL.
CeraVe sample cream to the face, this is thicker than the lotion, too thick really, so I watered it down a bit.
Jo Malone Orange Bitters Cologne to the neck and elbows.
Overall good shave. The scent of the Stirling Executive scent is mild, I am still ambivalent about it, although it lathers well, you do get the Tallow feeling afterwards.
{Razorock Lupo Aluminium razor and handle = 31.4 grams similar weight to Gillette Tech.
The Aluminium handle = 21.7 grams.
The heavier handle that came with it = 98.2 grams.
Razorock Lupo cap + heavier handle total weight = 107.8 grams.
That is massive, too heavy really, not at all well balanced.}
Overall Result 8/10. Level of satisfaction, hmmmm maybe 7/10. Not wanting to aim for BBS with this clumsy combination.
Clean, smooth and ready for my first haircut since November (don’t ask!)
