These Rapira blades are something else they’re fantastic in the longevity department because they have to deal with my tough beard stubble. The Glacial Wintergreen trio with its delightful scent and its mega frigid menthol sensation felt so good this morning - the soap lathered beautifully with my awesome Yaqi 30mm synthetic, it froze me to smithereens, and the postshave feeling was so soothing as well as comfortable. The matching balm and witch hazel added plenty of extra frozen goodness. Finally the Brut cologne made me smell so nicely old school. This Rapira blade is at the end of the road but it gave me one last hoorah with a terrific three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

What a stellar shave this has been. Smooth to the touch, gentle and BBS in 2,5 passes. My skin feels wonderful. Saponificio Varesino does still one of THE best soaps out there. And this scent…wow…absolutely luxurious. Outstanding.

The De Vergulde Hand Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher and a Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Schick shave, May 28th 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant - Mfg 1930's - 40's, mid range, well made to last many generations with a little care.
This is one of my favorite injectors, very nimble and its a nice change up every week to use a injector. Had a close shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (7) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Razorock Don Marco, nice citrus scent strength 5/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Purple haze" 24 mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber(Razorock) Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave this morning with my Schick E2 with a coated Personna blade.

It felt absolutely heavenly to smell the gorgeous scent of the Glacial Citron soap and aftershave and to feel the intense menthol sensation - the soap’s tallow formula gives the lather such wonderful richness, slickness, cushion, and protection, it’s so freezing cold, and the postshave feeling is so soothing as well as moisturizing. The Prep added its own special soothing, and the Glacial Citron aftershave gave me its overwhelming menthol kick along with a delightful blast of citrusy goodness. Finally the Bleu de Chanel’s magnificent fragrance and I was good to go. Three passes with a brand new Astra Green blade gave me a dynamite BBS shave that was so pleasurable!
