The Schick E type of injector variants are great and the G types are similar, they can give a nice shave with a new modern blade. Some of those old blades are not what they use to be so I always recommend a new blade so you have a good standard to base other blades that you might come across. Lots of folks like the Schick blades that can be bought on Amazon in a yellow package of 7 to start with. (using old blades might turn you off from using a injector like it almost did from my experiences.) Enjoy!
Congrats! Like you, I'm a vintage guitar fan and recently added a few vintage Gillette Super Speed razors, ranging from 1952-1955.
They’re pretty hard to beat. Except of course if you are able to score a vintage pack of Personna 74’s. But those will set you back a wee bit more than $5.60.
